Is Xeerneas a New Type?

I don't know if this has already been announced or not but Yveltal looks like a pretty obvious dragon-flying to me. Xeerneas looks like normal-psychic. That's based completely on appearance however.

What with the introduction of the all-new Fairy-type, I'd say the chances of Xerneas being a new type is quite high, if you know what I'm getting at...
