Is the Biggoron sword really unbreakable?

How did Mutoh break his Biggoron Sword? A Biggoron sword isn't supposed to break, but somehow he broke it.

After Biggoron replaces the Broken Biggoron Tool, the game description for the Biggoron Sword states the following,

"This blade was forged by a master smith and won't break!"

But Mutoh did break a Biggoron Sword, or some type of tool that Biggoron made. I've seen it suggested that maybe Mutoh bought a Giant's Knife, a sword similar to the Biggoron Sword in appearence, but forged by Medigoron. The Giant's Knife does break, very easily. But we can disregard that notion because Biggoron admits the broken Biggoron Tool is his own work.

Perhaps the Biggoron Tool Mutoh bought had a flaw which caused it to break? It just perplexes me that a supposed unbreakable sword was somehow broken. What in the world was Mutoh doing with that Biggoron Tool?

The dude was blinded by volcanic ash so chances are the Broken sword was badly forged.

Also a sword is relatively easy to break if not used to it's proper function and is over stressed.(it's safe to assume Mutoh probably used it as a bloody saw as he lost his)

It's like those shatter proof rulers you see. All of them state shatter proof but we know that's bull****. The biggoron sword is Hyrules shatter proof ruler.

the blade could have been quenched improperly. in Smithing, an improper quench can lead to deformation and bending in the blade. in extreme cases, it can lead to cracks in the blade and brittle metal. seeing as how the forges in Hyrule are not exactly modern or reliable, a good quench was something of a coin toss.
