it's a little more challenging than phantom hourglass in terms of dungeons, and still has the zelda charm so yes. if any "zelda" game should have "worth playing" next to it it's the zelda cdi games.

I highly recommend getting Spirit Tracks. It's a whimsical game full of innovation and creativity, and it's just plain fun. It's nowhere near a high point for the series, but it's still a wonderful game, one of the best games the DS has to offer. I was actually very surprised at how much I loved the game. From the very beginning, I could tell that all those people that said it was a horrible game were dead wrong. It has a good sense of energy from the get-go, yet has amazing pace to lead up to the first dungeon. The co-op with Link and Zelda in the Tower of Spirits also provides the game with some beyond unique and somewhat challenging puzzles. The game isn't that difficult, but it's more than you would expect from a DS game. Its controls are vastly superior to that of Phantom Hourglass, as well, which is quite impressive, seeing as it only came out a year after PH was released. It's a very charming and entertaining game that I believe all true Zelda fans should get. 9/10.

It was fun the first time, but, for me, it had no replay value. It was a lot better than PH, and the bosses were fun, but i wasn't a fan of the train and for some reason, can't feel any inspiration to ever go back.

I liked ST generally better than PH

but then again,... there were a LOT of things that I hated in ST and none in PH
and PH is a really small and easy game so when things started to get a bit boring (it happens in the central dungeons, believe me) it was easier to pick up PH
just my opinion though =)

I think everyone needs to buy spirit tracks if you haven't already because it is a great game and needs to be more loved. I must agree that the spirit flute can be a little frustrating, though. Especially when you're traveling in a vehicle and the flute just constantly plays without end.

Of course it's worth playing! The main villain is kind of stupid but the game is great. Definitely an experience to be had.

Yes, Spirit tracks is worth playing, but it can get old after playing for about 3 weeks.

I'd say so.
It's far better than Phantom Hourglass, and it's a very good game in its own right. The railroads take out the exploration aspect, which is my favorite aspect of the series, but it's still a fun game, with cool dungeons, awesome bosses, and sweet new toys to play with.

The Game in general seems so be a "black sheep" of the series, at least thats how I heard of it. I played it and liked it, a nice time. But I can never get myself to play it again like other Zelda games. Some of the flute songs are tedious to master, taking me half and hour to try and play this song, only to stop for a day, motivate my self to try it again, and get it. Timing is really key in that. Exploration is different from other titles in the series, since you are traveling on a train in a predetermined course. Dungeon designs are a bit simple at first, but can get complex and tedious, kinda in a good way though. Graphics? It looks a tad glitchy, but Hyrule looks beautiful.

Although I'm a much bigger fan of the third person rpg zeldas, I still love the overheads too. Especially the DS ones. It can be kinda annoying or irratating at times, but it totally worth playing.

Take a guess.
I personally loved Spirit Tracks. Of course, I played it when I called myself a Zelda fan but really didn't know the first thing about the series... so maybe my opinion back then was a bit off, and playing it today I certainly wouldn't think it's up to Zelda's incredibly high standards. However, I know it was a fantastic game to play and although most would disagree, I think it was better than Spirit Tracks. The storyline really entertained me and Zelda was an awesome partner to have. Plus, I've got to say that ANY Zelda game is worth playing. Even Phantom Hourglass had some perks, you have to admit.

I also loved the flute, and I didn't think it was too difficult to play. The only thing that annoyed me about it was accidentally playing the Song of Awakening a thousand times before actually getting in the song I wanted.

EDIT: I just realized you already said you're going to buy it. Well, good. It's worth it. XD I just already wrote my big huge post of opinions, so I'm not going to erase it now...

Yeah definately! I love a lot about it. There are just a few downsides. Like some parts are little confusing to understand. Not just like, "Oh another puzzle!" Some parts were downright confusing.

Honestly, I've only played it halfway through. I quit after the first couple of temples. The train was too cumbersome, and after putting it down for a few months, and then picking it back up, I couldn't remember it at all.
I wish I had just gotten Phantom Hourglass instead.
