I don't have video capture hardware, but as someone who does enjoy the competitions here, and as a host myself, I'd love to see this happen. Plus Ventus has a sexy voice
And if I did get the hardware, I'd be read cause I'm a boss at speed running if we did a Metroid theme!
I'm a little confused here. When I read the title of the thread, I got excited at what could be expected... but then I saw what was inside. Usually during art contests (drawing, writing, etc) they're judged at how creative they are, however, the "goal" for this contest is to get through the temple as quick as possible. Is the prize going to be given out based on the shortest time, or is that just something we should strive for to make our videos more interesting? Because if the prize is going to be based off of shortest time, then that's more of a video-game contest than it is a video making contest.
The goal for this specific run is completing the two objectives (all stray fairies + beat the temple) in the fastest time possible - what I was advocating in several threads. I really want to see how other players play the game. I'd love to see people get rewarded for speedruns (what I originally wanted to see). Heck I'd love to hear about people attempting speedruns, given that DGN started out as a Zelda site, and I personally am a lover of speedruns.
However, there are capabilities (in the future) for GMVs. I was thinking, though, that that kind of stuff would be placed in Laz's Film/Animation competition. I don't really know. Currently, I'm just looking for video game content, not video making.

*Brawl announcer voice* And the winner is...Krazy4Krash! He won with a time of 17:34, and that's not even including the discount for 50Hz!
TSter the Great finished at 2nd Place with a time of 18:12!
Ventus finished at 3rd Place with a time of 29:45!
Thanks a lot for supporting this competition! Even if this is the only time we'll get to do this, I had a ton of fun recording my run and watching the other entrants' runs! I'll get your gold to ya shortly, and Krazy4Krash should receive his award in due time.
