The game is being developed by NeatherRealm studios, who's most notable game thus far is Mortal Kombat 2011.

As of right now, the character roster is as follows:

Superman
Flash
Batman
Solomon Grundy
Wonder Woman
Harley Quinn
Nightwing [In My signature]
Cyborg

There are two types of characters, a Power Type (Superman) and a Gadget Type (Batman). These characters all have unique abilities, as shown in the video above. The gameplay is great, and the developers truly put effort into the environment, as you can use objects in the environment to harm your rivals etc. Some Characters also possess unique characteristics, such as Nightwing being able to combine his Escrima Sticks.

The Game is currently Slated for a 2013 release, and is being developed for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and, for all us Nintendo fans, the Wii U.

The gameplay looks phenomenal to me, and I can't wait to get my hands on this game!

The game which started this gore filled subseries of fighting games is Mortal Kombat. Recently the franchise experienced a crossover in the form of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe and this title, Injustice: Gods Among Us is an exclusive DC brawler. DC personally has a lot to prove following Marvel's The Avengers movie and this forthcoming product appears to be a partial solution. I'm a huge fan of the fighting genre and I'll probably pick this up some time although I'm currently behind in my backlog-just purchased Super Street Fighter IV last year.

The amount of detail in this game is stupendous and it certainly needs to be if it wishes to top last year's Mortal Kombat reboot. Seeing the muscles present on favorites like Superman and the Flash absolutely blew me away. It's great to see various environmental hazards and reactions being implemented. Every action also damages the exterior as the battle arena crumbles from within. It amazes me what developers are able to do with such powerful hardware. This isn't the first game to boast dynamic alteration of an area though as Ubisoft's forthcoming Assassin's Creed III offers frequent weather changes with NPC adaptations to these alterations in environment.
