General Zelda If You Could Rename a Zelda Game, What Would You Rename It?

Take any of the Legend of Zelda games (console or handheld) and pick which one you felt the title did not really fit the game as some other name would have.

To me, Phantom Hourglass and Skyward Sword weren't that fitting of titles. Since I cannot think of an alternative to PH, I'll go with SS and say that, as a prequel, I felt like it should have had a title alluding to that. It seemed more fitting to name it something like "Beginnings" or something more general, you know?

Any other games?

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to The Legend of Link. I think the latter is very much more fitting because the game really was centered on Link and the legend that would come out of him moreso the Master Sword or any other plot element.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This name has always bugged me because even though the ocarina of time is a major game device, it is not that important story wise. It's a tool that gets used alot. I'd definitely rename this game The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time. Yeah it may be a bit of a spoiler, but it says so much more about the game's story than the previous title.

ihateghirahim suggested this name for Zelda II: Difficulty IIx10^10000000000: Adventure of Satan

I agree with Random Person that a better name for OoT would be Hero of Time.

I would personally rename aLttP with it's Japanese name: The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the Gods

I was going to say exactly the same thing.

I would probably rename Skyward Sword too. Although I think it's an awesome name, I would probably say The Legend of Link or even The Master Sword rather than Skyward Sword.

Zelda II: It's not that hard

4Srs. Awkward 11 year-old Curmudgeon who regularly tripped over his own feet, could generally not write letters of the alphabet that other humans could read, and couldn't evenly fold a sheet of paper in half figured it out.

None of them. I think all the Zelda games have a good, clever title.

I think The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures could have had a more clever name though.
