Valentine's day is fine and all, but it's totally C tier holiday. It's funny/annoying seeing stores roll out their Valentines day stuff in early January, as if it were a Christmas or Halloween.

I hate Valentines day.

I know its just another day hyped up by companies, but as a single person that craves for companionship the pressure of feeling singled out by not having a SO during it can get kinda crushing.
My last major meltdown was during last year's Valentines and I think I'll always associate said holiday with that event.

Yeah, it really does make a single person feel like crap. I usually buy myself something as a way to say, "it's okay, Riven. At least I love me."

Well, I had a ****ty Christmas and a ****ty New Year's, so my mood hasn't been the best lately.

And my wife is sad her parents are moving away.

The Nightsister (Witch) from Star Wars I talked to was platonic, she wanted to be sure I would not wipe her out since The Empire was hunting down Jedi and Nightsisters.

Might be a great V-Day indeed. I agree that some traditional Valentine's Day stuff can be cringe, like it is very curtailed to make people buy cards, candies, and flowers.

I think that we can adapt the holiday to be unique for us. For me I shall be doing my Valentine's Zelda Fan Fiction (shameless plug, forgive me). :

This is something I deal with daily.. I have the aspirational self (who wants to be better) and the this is me self, and they clash so much I can get depressed.

I often watch Valentine's Day the movie for V Day with Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Garner, George Lopez, Patrick Dempesey, Jessica Biel, Jamie Fox, and Scarlett Johanssen. It gets into the traditional Valentine's Day stuff, and its sappy.. cheesey, but its funny, especially the anti-Valentine's Day party where the pinata is a heart. XD
