Hyrulean Civil War RP [Game Thread]

The game is on!
((Skipping ahead slightly to forward the story.))

The group reaches Gerudo Valley disguised as Gerudo. The newly renovated bridge is heavily guarded and the guards follow the group with their gazes as they approach. When the group comes up to the bridge Linora walks confidently up to the head guard.

"Sav'otta! I am Linooru. Me and my squad got separated from the army during the battle with the Sheikah last month. We have since endured many hardships on our way back home. May we enter?"

"Vasaaq, Linooru!" the head guard responds. "Please display your identification."

"Oh I'm afraid we were stripped of all such things when we were captured by the Sheikah. Only about half of us were able to make it out and back here alive..."

"Sa'oten!" the head guard exclaims surprised. "Well, without your identification we'll have to go through a huge amount of work before you lot can return to your posts, but I suppose such an investigation is unavoidable."

"If I may, boss," another one of the guards says and clears her throat. "If we won't trust them solely on the fact that they look just like Gerudo, why don't we bring in Ruloris? If she deems them legitimate then they must be."

"Hmm... That is a good idea," the head guard responds. "It will save us much time. Bring her here immediately. I want to get this done with as soon as we can."

With that said two of the guards ran off to fetch this Ruloris, whoever that was. The head guard looked sternly at the group in silence and Linora was feeling a bit nervous behind her confident facade.

Rasul was standing there, staring at these tall muscular yellow eyed women, and all he could think about was barbecued thighs and breasts

"Oh those stories are all pretty boring for the most part. Though my group did manage to capture a Hylian general not too long ago. Hopefully she'll be useful to us." Celica finished off her bowl of stew and drank the broth rather easily, quite enjoying the spices in it. She wasnt exactly used to it but the food was better than she had remembered.

"Anyway, on to the real reason I'm sitting here with you. I'm supposed to take you on a mission. Some outsiders have been spotted on the edge of the valley near hyrule field. We're going to go stop them. Meet me at my quarters in about half an hour." Celica then gave the girl directions to her room and went off on her way to get her armor on.

Tahr took note of the fact that there was a Hylian general imprisoned somewhere here. That sort of thing could prove useful.

"I'll see you there."

Tahr forced down the rest of his stew as quickly as he could manage. It was still uncomfortably spicy, but eating it quickly made it a much less tedious process. He cleaned up after himself, then went to his room to gear up.

He didn't have any special armor or any sort of uniform he wasn't already wearing, but he did need to grab the sword they had issued him. He didn't have much use for the scimitar—he never was much of one for swords—but to not wear it might give the wrong impression. After he strapped the sword to his side, he pulled a small mirror out of his bag and examined himself quickly to make sure nothing was wrong with his disguise, then fixed anything that might have seemed suspicious.

He arrived outside of the room Celica had specified a little over 20 minutes after the instructions had been given to him. He knocked on the door a single time and waited for a response.

There were so many questions, but he thought one questions might be the most important. “What happened? Why is everyone trying to kill each other?”

Will scratched the back of his head, "Racial tensions, some game for power... No particular event set things off. They just kind of started," why had he decided go answer questions? That would be the first and few people knew. And, to be honest, he wasn't sure if he should really say without knowing for sure.

Celica opened the door, only half dressed in her armor, and looked around for who might have knocked. When she saw it was Zahtar, she motioned for her to come inside her room. "Great. Early. That's a good sign. I guess you must be a pretty good messenger then." Celica continued to put her armor on as she spoke. The top half of it was always a pain to get on even after so many years with the armor in her possession. Eventually she managed to get it and grabbed her Helmet. "So how much experience do you have with that sword?"

Tahr hesitated for a moment in the door frame before entering. He was thankful that she was clothed, even if she wasn't yet fully armored—the slightest unnatural reaction to something like that could potentially give away his cover. As he entered, he nonchalantly glanced around the room for clues as to what kind of person Celica was.

"I'm terrible with swords. Before coming here, I'd never held a weapon in my life."

A half-truth. While he wasn't especially good at using swords, Tahr had certainly been forced to use them before.

He decided that this would probably be the best time to ask a question that had been on his mind since their encounter in the canteen.

"Earlier you said that you'd been here your whole life—are there many Hylians like you who were born and raised among the tribe?"

"Hylian?" Celica wore a rather offended look on her face for a moment before renembering Zahtar had grown up outside of the desert. She wouldn't understand the life of an Iron Knuckle. "Not all ofus became an iron knuckle through our deeds on the battlefield. Some of us were born in the armor. That's why my skin isn't as dark as the rest of our people."

Celica put her helmet in and then took her axe in her hands, opening the door of her rook. "Look. I'll let it slide this time, since you yourself have lived outside the desert. You don't know our ways yet. You'll learn soon, sister. But be careful. Others may not be so forgiving if you ask them such a question. Now come. We have work to do." Upon leaving the room, the assassins that would be joining them appeared in the hallway, ready to escort her to the outskirts of the village where the outsiders were spotted.

"Of course."

Tahr followed behind silently, careful not to let his face show any sign of confusion or skepticism. There was no way this woman was Gerudo—and it wasn't just her fair skin that gave her away. She was much too short, her ears were pointed instead of round, her hair was black, and everything else about her appearance was also distinctly Hylian. Maybe she had lived her life among them and they'd hidden the truth about her heritage from her, but it was strange that she hadn't questioned the fact that she was so unlike everyone else around her. Ominous, even.

Tahr nodded respectfully to the warriors that would be travelling with them. He addressed Celica.

"Do we know anything about these outsiders?"

The game is on!
((Sorry Yoyo. The game was moving slowly so I forwarded it a bit. If you want you can be with our group now. We're disguised as Gerudo trying to infiltrate Gerudo territory.))

After almost ten minutes of tense waiting the two guards came back to the bridge. With them they had an old Gerudo woman who didn't walk very fast. When they came closer Linora could tell that the old woman was also blind, or at least partially.

"Ah Ruloris, I'm glad you could make it," the head guard says with glee. "We've got a bit of a situation here and were hoping you'd be able to solve it for us. You see, these women here claim to be part of our military but they have lost their identification documents. Doing this the proper way would take weeks and with everything that's been happening lately we don't have that time. I mean, they are Gerudo so what reason would they have to lie to us?"

Ruloris walks up to the group where they stand. She takes a sniff in their direction.

"I smell blood, sweat and great dedication from these sisters," she says slowly with her gravelly voice. She then gets closer to Will and sniffs his neck closely. "Yes... I absolutely smell Gerudo here." Then she walks close to Rasul and sniffs his head. "But I smell some Sheikah stink on this one..."

"Oh but that's because they were being held captive by the Sheikah until quite recently," the head guard responds. "Sarqso, Ruloris, you've been of great help confirming their story." She looks sternly at Linora. "You may pass. And be sure to report to your superiors right away."

"We will," Linora lies as she starts walking across the bridge with her friends. "Sav'orq!" She was glad she had gotten to use the few words she knew from Gerudo vocabulary, but all in all they had totally lucked out there. Linora still couldn't completely breathe out even as the party drew closer to Gerudo Town.

Rasul walks across the bridge. that was very close. he starts to think of the persona he was going to take... knowing little about the Gerudo, he thought maybe friendly and a little bit southern
