Hyrulean Civil War RP [Game Thread]

Pen

The game is on!

Civil war has been plaguing Hyrule for many years now. The land is in chaos and the people are divided. All of the races and tribes stand alone, opposing everyone else. The five main factions are the Hylians, the Sheikah, the Gerudo, the Gorons and the Zoras. The forest dwelling Kokiri are so far untouched by the civil war. The common citizens know nothing about the reasons behind the conflict, but they assume their respective leaders have good reasons. These are dangerous times because there are battles taking place constantly between various factions and at various locations around Hyrule. Will this chaos ever end?

Players:
Pendio - Linora (Hylian archer and deserter)
Storm - Rasul (Elven/Dwarven traveler)
Mido - Mortenius (Goron career soldier)
DekuNut - William (Hylian energy mage)
Woyogoyo - Lann (Kokiri explorer)
Libk - Celica (Hylian axe welding fire mage)

It had been a long day for Linora. She had been researching the reasons behind the war in the outskirts of Castle Town all day. Now the sun was soon about to set and she was sitting on Hyrule Field by the river relaxing. The weather was nice and the air was fresh. She needed this break very much. Suddenly she hears the sound of war drums from the mountain and then she sees the Goron army charging in her direction. "Oh crap!" she thinks to herself and turns around to run away, but charging towards her on the other side is the Hylian army! "Great, I'm caught in the middle of a big battle..." Linora dashes out of the way of the two clashing armies and hides behind a large rock. From her hiding place she sees the two armies collide and engage in brutal combat with one another. "So much for that peaceful moment," Linora mutters behind the rock.

Will and his unit separated from the main platoon miles ago. They were continuing on their own, through the underbrush and taking the long way around. Here, the army was nothing but a distraction. They were in charge of the main goal - take out the general. Preferably as a prisoner, but if they couldn't, then a dead general was better than letting him stay where he was.
As they moved silently, the five-soldier team could hear the clashing of blades in the distance. The battle had begun.

Lann is sitting on a large rock, watching the battle. He scratches his head, confused. "I don't get it. Why are they doing this again?" He asks himself. He then shrugs. "Eh, whatever. It sure is interesting to watch." He takes a bite from his sandwich.

"Now, my brothers! Spring the trap!" Morten triumphantly shouts to his fellow Gorons. Much like the Hylian army, the Gorons had a few tricks of their own. One by one, utilizing their vantage point, Morten and the others rolled out, ramming down as many soldiers as possible, sowing confusion among the main contingent as a result of the mild pincer attack. Before this moment, however, Mortenius, while a career soldier, takes time to muse over the well being of his budding family. This civil war had been lasting for some time, and while he enjoyed the thrill of battle, his longing for his family slowly began to call to him. Nevertheless, he had a job to do, and here he was, defending the honor of the Goron race.

a Dwarven Vessel makes dock. a Lone man hops from the deck onto the pier, and walks up the Hill to Horon. his face covered in a hood as he walked. his destination was Castle Town in Hyrule. but that was quite the hike to go, and a long hike it shall be

Linora noticed how the battleground was spreading out and drawing closer to her, so she ditched her hiding spot behind the rock and moved further away. She soon noticed another large rock on top of which a lone Kokiri sat. She made her way over to it.

"Hey kid!" she starts, to get his attention. "What are you doing all the way out here? It's dangerous. We need to move out of the way of the battle."

"Name's Linora," she replies, "but that's not important right now. What is important is that we move away from here. Unless, of course, you wish to get caught up in that bloody battle. You're welcome to come with me if you want, but I'm leaving right now." Linora then turns around and starts jogging away from the battle at a steady pace.

Today was not a day for Gerudo, but a day for gorons. The army leaders wanted Celica on the death mountain front for a little while, as a general was in the area abd his capture was of great importance. She walked behind Will and the others, bringing up the rear, watching for any possible ambush. She appreciated being part of this team, as it meant the army recognized her strength, but she still would have like to have some of her men here with her.

The figure walked through the Prarie to the Mountain which atop it was the Tower Tarm. turning south, he entered the Woods, in which he climbs the trees, heading for the Huge Tree he saw in the Distance. the figure climbed down the Tree and saw The Deku Tree. The figure was familiar with trees like this, but kept on moving, he saw a quaint little village, full of children, but could get nowhere because of one of the kids blocking the Path. He leaps over the Child and keeps on going

The plan worked nearly perfectly. The Hylian troops were flanked. Morten and his brothers let out a triumphant and intimidating roar, their morale high. Promptly, he smacks two soldiers with his fists.

Linora keeps jogging away from the battle, but she accidentally goes in the line of sight of the Hylian troops that were marching somewhat behind the rest of the Hylian army. Upon noticing them she ducks and tries to hide behind a tree, hoping they hadn't seen her first.

There are several guards guarding the entrance to Castle Town when Rasul gets there. In times of war they were ordered not to let any non-Hylians in.
