How long should a movie be?

Movies - they come in all shapes and sizes. All kinds of differences in scope and ambition.

And length.

How long is too long, and how short is too short? In your opinion, what's the ideal movie length, and why?

As long as the movie sets out to do what it wants to do I don't much mind.

If it's long and good I'll watch it. If it's crap I'll not get to the end.

Totally agree with Spirit. I don’t think any arbitrary length of time set makes a good movie. A movie needs to take all the time it needs to properly tell its story and get its point across without feeling like it’s overstayed its welcome.
