How long have you been on hold for?

I imaging at some point in your life you have been put on hold when making a phone call. Relaxing elevator music would be played down the speaker and often a pre recorded voice would say something like 'thank you for your patience, someone will be with you shortly' of course this is often a lie unless by shortly they mean a long time.

Anyway, how long have you been on hold for and how long would you usually wait before hanging up?

Longest I can remember was 3 hours. Usually I get impatient and hang up after 30-40 minutes though, sometimes even less.

Definitely over an hour, though I don't know the max. I think it's insane that hold times are ever longer than 10 minutes.

40 mins waiting for someone to call me on skype.....

40 minutes with a helpdesk just to say, "There's nothing we can do" it was about a 40 second conversation.
