Skyward Sword How Do I Leave the Silent Realm?

So I am currently playing Skyward Sword and I would like to be able to leave the Silent Realm without finishing it so I can save my game. Is there any way to do that? =\

I don't think you can. You might be able to leave if you talk to Fi at the starting gate, but I do not know if you can do that or not.

get hit by one of the statues, you'll have to start the Realm again but at least you'll be out and can save

YOU CAN. Get a tear and then go back to the blue circle (entrance gate). I think you hit "A" to examine and it asks if you want to leave.

Go back to the entrance gate. Press A when it says 'Examine'. If it's not there, get the closest Tear, and go back.

Fi never asked that for me. It just restarted the Realm and she said something along the lines of "If you have a strong enough will, then you can retry it as many times as you'd like."
