You use it to time travel to fix some kind of problem Ganon created or perhaps Astor messes the timeline up and you go to restore it and it goes the way of 12 Monkeys Show where you wind up being the cause of it all to begin when they try to stop the virus vial from being dropped: Which is a VERY simple way of saying it.

It appears nobody read my post so why bother giving an explanation if nobody is willing or can't read it? I'm done with explanations. I just hurt myself doing so. There should be a game over smile face.

If you had all your gear from whatever you were doing in BOTW (it's unique to your BOTW playthru what you take with you) and you were transported to OOT in BOTW2 to fix something in that timeline (as part of a bigger time travel adventure that unveils) about how far would Link get in his travels?
Also what would Young Link think of him when they meet and they help each other out or would they fight all the time as YL wants to break things and do stuff his way or would it be the other way around?

What would the Great Deku Tree and Mido think of BOTW Link as Mido tries to stop them both? I bet BOTW Link would just send a remote bomb (I know I would!) to Mido. How hard would fighting Ghoma be for BOTW Link using his abilities and whatever you collected before hand?

For me I'd probably resort to electric or bomb arrows on Ghoma using BOTW Link to bring her down. Would Ancient Arrows do a one hit on her? Would I be allowed to bring that one hit weapon that drains your hearts to a quarter and try it on her?

BotW Link would obliterate EVERYTHING. He has the Master Sword, so no need to endanger the Sacred Realm. In the Ganondorf battle when they do mystical volleyball he could just use his shield parry or Daruk's Protection. Beast Ganon battle I mean sure, he wouldn't have the hammer OoT Link uses. But he has a whole bunch of other weapons in storage that would prbly be as effective if not more so. Also, unlimited bombs. He can have more than four healing items, and despite his not having a hookshot most areas that require them have walls he can climb. Im hey, BotW even has boomerangs he can use! He would prbly need to blue tunic to swim, but he's all set for Death Mountain with his BotW Goron Armor, and he could get throught Gerudo Desert easily with stealth gear and Sand Boots. Poor OoT Link would be stuck standing in Kokiri Forest wonfdering where all the bad guys went.

OK, I think botw link would totally dominate. It would be awesome gameplay, fun world...
But Ganondorf would get his head chopped off right when link first meets him. Bam. Three quarters of the game non existent. That's why I don't really think it works - it wouldn't be a game anymore.

Well BotW Link could always pull the OoT Master Sword, which doesn't have the dumb recharge time. I would imagine that he's "ready", given that ya know he was an appointed Knight and 117 years old XD
But he could prbly also use OoT's unbreakable Hylian shield.
