TPHD-Wii U Help with fishing in Twilight Princess

Please help.....I cant seem to catch a fish with the Wii U Gamepad....I dont know what I am doing wrong. I see the Fish On but I cant seem to get the fish. Do I need to get a different control??

Are you letting go of the button you've assigned your fishing rod to when you see the "Fish On"? Because that's the only logical explanation I can think of. Once you hook a fish, you have to hold down the button until you reel it in.

Unless you're having trouble at the fishing hole near Lake Hylia, where the mechanics are a little different. You can take a guided tour with an NPC that will explain how to do it.

I have my fishing rod set to the Y button and cast with it and let go of the button....should I not let go of the Y button??

Yep, that's it. Hold it down until you reel the fish in. Good luck!

Where do I see a guided tour of the fishing.

That's near Lake Hylia. I'm assuming you're at the beginning of the game? If so you can't access it yet. You'll find it in time.
