Heating up or extra sweater?

So, when it gets cold are you a person who turns the central heating up or do you get an extra sweater instead?
I rather get some extra sweater or blanket but mr Vee turns the central heating up.

I tend to heat up the room with a space heater, but if it freezing in the house, turn on the heat enough to get the chill off and then turn it back so it doesn't keep coming on.

When you have the extreme colds that we have here, just wearing a sweater is not an option. That said though, being in a basement suite we have no control over the central heating, that's all done upstairs, so if it gets uncomfortable we just bundle up with blankets. Because of how cold it is though, keeping residences at comfortable temperatures in the winter can get to be very expensive.

My 'Just wear a sweater' mentality definitely comes from being raised in a poor North English household.

Now I live at a more northerly elevation, what I actually do is light a full fire every day. We do have a heater, but it gets pretty pricey the amount we would have to have it on.

The trick I have found it heat up in morn, and at night before bed with the central heating. And try to keep the heat in the house is possible.

Run a hot bath and then use the heated blanket, multiple dressing gowns and hot tea!

My default is having as many sweaters on as possible so def that. Explains why summer is so awful to me

I can’t stand the cold so I’m usually wearing a sweater. If I’m still cold I turn on the heater but that’s only when it drops down below 50 in my apartment

Hot Tea or Cocoa or Coffee does really help warm you up inside, that is a good tactic to stay warm.

I go for the extra clothing and extra blankets. But I live in South Florida. The coldest it gets here is in the 40's.
