If you're even going to toss around those subjective terms than recognize that they apply to play style rather than games. I can play Angry Birds religiously and aim for three stars on every level thus pegging my play style as "hardcore".

With respect, you just contradicted yourself. You just said that hardcore and casual are "SUBJECTIVE terms", and then made an OBJECTIVE statement about how they refer to play-style, not games. Either the terms are subjective (matter of opinion) or objective (singularly defined), not both. Just saying.
