Ganon's Pig Form His Dark World Form?

Considering that people transform into something that reflects their personality in the Dark World (for example, Link turns into a pink bunny, but why? Is he a gentle giant?), does Ganon turn into anything? Probably so. He only really turned into his Pig Form in 4SA. That was when he got the Trident of Power and created the Dark World. So, after seeing a thread about Ganon's Beast form being his Twilight Form, as Link's wolf form is his, it made me think about this.

I think Ganon's form as a pig completely reflects his personality. Pigs are known for being gluttonous, greedy, and generally uncaring. Not only that, but Ganon has tusks, making him more of a boar. A boar is a pig, only more powerful and more physically fit. Considering Ganon wished for a world that would immobilize his enemies, and that made a suitable corruption of the Light World, it can be assumed that Ganon wanted a form of total darkness, in other words, a corrupted form of his human self. Considering he uses the Triforce of Power to turn into something incredibly powerful at the end of OoT and near the end of TP, after which he turned back into his human form, we know he can change forms at will. Strangely, he doesn't seem to want to in the Dark World. Maybe because this form was more powerful? Or maybe because he didn't have the Moon Pearl to allow him to change back as needed. And when he died, he came back in his Pig Form in TLOZ, meaning now he's stuck in it. So, basically, without the Moon Pearl and having been killed and resurrected at the end of ALttP (where he unwishes everything that happened in ALttP (the king and his uncle died (the king was eliminated), but they "recovered" or "returned," and Flute Boy turned into a tree, but he was alive and well in the ending), he is now and forevermore stuck as a gluttonous, greedy, and power-hungry pig. And his desire for power and destruction/darkness/corruption is reflected in the Oracle games, where, when he is resurrected by the Gerudo, though insane, he resolves to destroy everything.

So, even though I got a little off-topic, how does the theory sound?

Interesting....you're saying that you think he got his pig form in the dark world, but, killed in it, and then ressurected, without the moon pearl to change back, became trapped in it....? Hmm...but he wasn't in the dark world when he was ressurected, so wouldn't he have changed back? Although, if he was broguht back in the body he died in, but healed, and not a new body, then hat would account for it...

Well, he WAS in the Dark World when he was resurrected. After all, the entirety of ALttP was un-wished. Therefore, Ganon has nowhere else to come back to, except the Sacred Realm (the Dark World vanished, since he died, and since he lost the Triforce).

That is his true form he's really supposed to be just a giant pig monster because in the first game that was his true form but over the years they changed the looks of him such as in TP they made him walk on all 4 legs and no trident:mastersword::eek:carina::eek:ctorok:<3<3<3<3

As you pointed out in both OoT and TP, I think he just gets his beastiality from the Triforce of Power. Otherwise the Dark World may affect him the same, since shadow seems to be a corrupted representation of Power in the Zelda games, which Ganondorf loves.

ALTTP did serve to explain his blue pig form as the shape he took while within the Dark World. Many characters explained to Link in the game that anyone who enters the realm will take a form that reflects their heart. In Ganon's case that was a pig. To many that makes sense because pigs are often considered an filthy or unclean animal and are commonly associated with greed.
Thus, pigs are commonly associated with greed of various forms. The phrase "as greedy as a pig" can therefore be used in many contexts - in reference to gluttony ("to pig out") or the monopolization of time or resources
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_references_to_pigs

His origin story in the game and later action does show him to be a very twisted and greedy individual. So few question the pig form nearly as much as Link's rabbit shape in the dark world. The only real confusion about the pig form is that he is seen in that shape while in the Light World on a few occasions. His taking that shape in Hyrule in OoT and TP causes people to really question if it was a dark world form, a reflection of his power, or even a side effect of the triforce of power. It could very well be some kind of aspect of a corrupted use of the triforce, as it was the triforce that created the dark world in the first place granting Ganondorf's wish.

Oh? Who are you, Mr. Bunny?
This world is like the real
world, but evil has twisted it.

The Golden Power is what
changed your shape to reflect
what is in your heart and mind.

However the Oracle games and FSA did mention the dark world as well. In FSA there was a dark world that could be entered by using the dark mirror and in the Oracle Games Onox and Veran were said to have been summoned from the Dark World.
グハハハハ!! ツインローバさまによって 闇の世界より しょうかんされし 真のすがた。。。
Guhahahaha!! This is my true form that Twinrova-sama summoned from the Dark World…
Gwah hah hah! I was summoned from the Dark Realm by Twinrova. See my true form!

Even the oracle Din said this at the end of Seasons
ゴルゴンとべランはツインローバが 闇よりしょうかんした まもの
Gorgon and Veran were monsters summoned from the darkness by Twinrova.
Twinrova called Onox and Veran forth from the darkness.

Also Koume and Kotake in the literal translation make more of a mention of the Daimaou being revived. Not so much Ganondorf, this might mean that Ganondorf was fully transformed into a more demonic entity at that point in time and not so much an ordinary man transformed against his will.
「なげきの炎」と「ほろびの炎」 2つの炎がともり これでのころうは 「ぜつぼうの炎」ただ1つじゃ! ウヒャヒャヒャヒャ!
The “Flame of Grief” and “Flame of Ruin” are both lit. Now all that remains is the “Flame of Despair”! Uhahahaha!
The Flames of Sorrow and Destruction are lit! Now, only the Flame of Despair remains! Eee hee hee hee!

3つの炎が そろい 「聖なるイケニエ」をささげたとき 闇をさまよう大魔王が このあかりを目ざし よみがえる! ウヒャヒャヒャヒャ!
When the three flames are lit and we lift up the “Holy Sacrifice”, the Daimaou who is wandering in the darkness will aim at these lights and be revived! Uhahahaha!
Our sacrifice will revive the Evil King and guide him to the light of the three flames! Oh ho ho ho!

大魔王 ふっかつのため。。。 オマエにも死んでもらおうか!!
In order to resurrect the Daimaou… I’ll kill you as well!!
We'll sacrifice you so the Evil King can return!

It seems that reviving the Daimaou was their real goal. After obtaining the triforce Ganondorf later took the title Daimaou. Roughly translates to Demon King, this was also the title given to him in the original LoZ when he was only seen as a pig. Which is something very similar to what Malladus was in ST, a very powerful demonic entity. So it might be possible that Ganondorf's transformation at the end of OoT was not just a physical one for more strength, it could have been his actual transformation into an entity other than a normal physical creature into a demon king worthy of the title Daimaou.

The Japanese word maou meaning "Satan, Devil King" is composed of the kanji (read ma) meaning "devil; witch; demon; evil spirit" and (read ou) meaning "king"

Ganondorf's first claim to the title was in OoT near the ending.
この オレ様が… 魔王ガノンドロフが 敗れるの…か? こんな 小僧に…
I… Maou Ganondorf have been defeated… by this kid…?
The Great Evil King Ganondorf... beaten by this kid?!

While Zelda mentions that he was unable to control the power at the time.
ガノンドロフ… 哀れな男… 強く正しい心を 持たぬゆえに 神の力を 制御できずに…
Ganondorf… Pitiful man… He lacked a strong, righteous heart and therefore was unable to control the power of the gods…
Ganondorf...pitiful man... Without a strong, righteous mind, he could not control the power of the gods...and...

Zelda does make it sound as if the overwhelming power of the triforce got away from Ganondorf causing him to be corrupted even more by it's power. He could have even lost control of himself while under the influence, and it is said that power is a corrupting force. Just as he corrupted the Sacred Realm into a demonic Dark world, the triforce could have corrupted him even further from the murderous thief into a demonic creature that wants to rule all. Later on the Dark World has also been given other names such as the Evil Realm, or Makai. It has also been described as a world populated by demons, the boss monsters of ALTTP and the characters Onox and Veran were described as demons summoned from the evil realm. Ganondorf's corruptive influence and the power of the gods might have caused an actual demonic transformation in many who wondered and were trapped in the Dark World. Some of his closest servants and a few who were exceptionally evil might have been transformed completely. So I would take his later pig form to be the Demon King or Daimaou form of the once mortal man Ganondorf and not just a simple physical transformation. Pig Ganon does seem to be so much more than just some individual who happens to be in the shape of an anthropomorphic pig. Even in the few games where he does not have a triforce piece but is still a powerful entity to fight. In this he does seem to be very similar to Malladus, another character described as a Demon King or Maou. He was a spiritual entity that required to be sealed away because he did not exist in a physical form that could easily be killed.

I always figured Ganon was his Dark World form. His lack of ownership of the Moon Pearl meant that his true form would be reflected; in this case it was a Pig-like form. Due to this, I've been led to believe Ganondorf was around before Ganon (time-line wise of course) because he needed a catalyst in order to get his "Pig form." If you recall, he gained the ability to transform first in Ocarina of Time. It was not until the final battle that you saw this transformation, though. He gained this ability upon touching the Triforce.

So basically, his touching of the Triforce in A Link to the Past gave a more generalized effect upon the Golden Realm that he once felt in Ocarina of Time. His true form was revealed in Ocarina of Time, and it once again became apparent when he became trapped in the Dark World.

But of course, his appearance as Pig-form in the original was for two reasons; his human body - Ganondorf - was dead, leaving him with his true form, Ganon. He once again gained a human form in a Gerudo thief by the name of Ganondorf Dragmire.
