Ah, yes! if you are new to the Zelda series the whole Ganon/Ganondorf thing can be confusing.

Ganon is the Evil Spirit who usually looks like a ManPig

Ganondorf is the huminoid Gerudo.

Ganon lives inside Ganondorf

AND!

SPOILER

Ganon is Demise's Spirit reincarnated into Ganondorf body for countless generations.

It's confusing, but you'll get it eventually.

Hope this helped! Ciao!

This pretty much covers it, but there is a little error here. (spoiler)Demise's spirit is not reincarnated. He specifies that his HATRED is what will reincarnate forever. Demise's spirit was sealed within the Master Sword forever.

But as for the Ganon thing, Ganon and Ganondorf are the same being. Actually, spoiler there is another theory that I think works out as well. The demon Ganon is the manifestation of Demise's hatred and the human Ganondorf is the vessel for that hatred and is repeatedly reincarnated as such, as shown in OOT and FSA.

There are no separate Ganons. It's the same Ganon/Ganondorf throughout the entire series.

FSA Ganondorf is the reincarnated form of TP Ganon, so in a sense he is separate, since he was born again not as a Gerudo King, but as a guardian. All others are revivals of the same Ganon.

Ganon is not a spirit, in OOT Ganondorf transforms into this form and is henceforth known as the Demon King Ganon, it's just a change of name. Ganondorf transforms into this shape at will. After this, the name Ganon is used for both forms, since the King of red lions refers to Ganondorf as Ganon even though he is in his Gerudo form the whole game apart from the puppet Ganon fight, where I'm not sure if the puppet is actually Ganondorf or if he controls it from the rafters above.

The pig monster form aka Ganon is just one of Ganondorfs forms, as was shown in OOT when you fight the human form at first and then he transforms into a pig like monster form for the final battle.

The names are interchangable. It's simple as that. He just changes back and forth from a human to a pig. Ganon isn't some malovent force controlling Ganondorf either, it's just like Robert and Bob, or William and Will.

Ganondorf is the human. Ganon is the beast form of Ganondorf. There are some fans, however, that refer to Ganondorf as Ganon, but only as a nickname.

Ganondorf is Ganon, and there's nothing more to it than that...

To me, Gannondorf is the human form of Gannon. Gannon is a beast-pig thing that's just power hungry. But in Ocarina of Time, Gannondorf can't handle the power of the Triforce of Power so he transformed into Gannon. So Gannon may also be a monster of power when someone can't handle the Triforce of Power's power.

Yes but in TP he uses it without going crazy, as he could activate it and then go back to his normal form by himself
