Breath of the Wild Ganon did it

We didnt see Calamity Ganon do much in BotW, we were just told he was dangerous.

He wrecked hyrule but how much of it? Looks like he only really flattened Castle Town.

But 10,000 years ago when he first attacked did he take a bite out of the mountain in Hebra? Did he crack a mountain in two and create the Duelling Peaks?

Or did he really not do too much cept flatten some wooden villages?

Ya know, I thought about this, and I've come to the conclusion that he didn't do anything but kill like 20 people in the central region of Hyrule. And the Champions...

Well gee, if BotW had anything resembling a proper narrative we might know. Ganon appears no more threatening that a particularly uncanny and ominous looking cloud when you don't know the full extent of what he's (it's?) capable of.

I think what he did was unleash monsters that scared everyone away and forced them to cloister themselves in defensible areas. He didn't so much destroy everything as simply force everyone to live under constant siege, which caused the kingdom to fall into decline as people fled from the chaos.

Flattened some wooden villages, smashed up some statues, and worst of all, probably killed the ancestors of Talon and Malon, the bastard.
