The Minish Cap Fun Facts About Minish Cap Music

Did you know that multiple songs from older Zelda games were reused in Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap? Here are some of the songs incase you didn't catch them ingame:

OoT Credits theme (first part) = TMC Princess Zelda's theme

Zelda 2 Battle theme (Famicom) = TMC guardian theme/ mini boss theme

Zelda 2 Zelda's Awakening theme = TMC broken curse

The overworld theme and great fairy fountain are clearly reused

ALttP cave theme = TMC Castle underground/ under Hyrule Castle theme

LoZ dungeon theme = TMC Royal Crypt

ALttP Time of the falling rain = Rainy mount crenel

The ALttP Hyrule Castle theme (WW hyrule castle theme + Farewell King of Hyrule) = Dark Hyrule Castle

That's all the ones i'm aware of. I always her people wishing for there favorite songs to be reused, and this is a perfect example of song recycling in Zelda.

Minish Cap is one of my most favorite Zelda games.
I did notice the reused music from Alttp and the OoT credits theme. But I didn't know they also reused some things from LoZ and Zelda 2 probably because I've never taken the time to play them fully and listen to the music. Anyway this is an interesting thing well for me anyway.

LOVE MC. The Dark World theme from ALTTP is very similar to Mt Crenal's theme

Yeah I knew about most of these. Most of them are blatant copies of the original song, not the same theme implemented into a new song.

No it isn't. There are definitely some similar ideas, but it can't even be called a remix; neither the beat nor the melody are the same. It's a different song. For side-by-side comparison:

The music isn't the only thing to do this. Many sound effects are taken from other games, too. Like Vaati's voice. It's the same as the Happy Mask Salesman's.

I noticed this when playing for like the 10th time a couple months ago, most notably I remember the crypt part and thought that was cool.

I said Famicom disk version not the NES version. Then again for all i know, this and the other gameplay footage i've watched [video=youtube;B2Ui_5wMDMY]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2Ui_5wMDMY[/video] may be lying, i havent played through Zelda 2 yet
