Free Online Play in Assassin's Creed 3 for Wii U or Not?

Hi, I got myself a Wii U today, and I am thinking of getting Assassin's Creed III for it. However, I would first like to know if the online service is free or not. I tried to find an answer to this, and I learned that the Nintendo Network is free, but not 100%... hmm.

So, if anyone here knows and could tell me whether the online play in AC3 for the Wii U is free or not I would be very grateful.

Yes, online play for Assassin's Creed III is completely free.

In addition, it's a better deal for gamers who purchase titles used as this system's version does not include an online pass.

Thank you! ^^ I knew it costs in the Xbox version, therefore I was curious about the Wii U. I'll probably buy the game next week.
