I thought, in honor of Halloween (and before the day just to make them available for reading), I'd post links to some of the scariest Zelda fanfiction I've ever penned. I enjoy doing fanfiction with dark tones, so here are links and summaries for stories to read at your leisure. If you dare.
The first two are in the PG to PG-13 range. Two are rated R/Mature. Those two are noted.

A Majora's Mask story. A story about what would happen if Link had failed to prevent the fall of the moon. A lone survivor searches the ruined landscape until they find themselves speaking with someone who didn't survive. Really more of a tragedy than a horror.

Rated R/Mature!!! Ocarina of Time/Post-Majora's Mask, mostly OoT in feel, with MM references. Link, happily married to Zelda, dies as a result of battle-wounds. A Gerudo cult siezes the opportunity to use his body to bring back their King. Ganondorf lives again, in the guise of a "ressurected" Hero. Rated for gore and a scene of sexuality.
"Balance"

Rated R/Mature!!! Any/original Zelda universe. This story just plays with the basic themes present in all of the games. I was thinking about OoT when I wrote it, but made it pretty much original. A darkly philosophical take on the attributes of the Triforce. What would Ganondorf do if he actually won? Rated for explicit, nasty gorey violence - above and beyond what I usually write. This is also one of my older Zelda fics (which means I don't think it's
very good anymore).
Anyway, some tales of creepiness and horror. Enjoy!
