Foods you hate

I used to hate bake beans as well, now I can tolerate them but it's not something I would ever have with food when making it myself. Here in England it's common to have bake beans on toast innit, which I couldn't stand! I made it a requirement to have the beans separated from the toast.

I have always been a picky eater and as a kid I was an absolute nightmare to feed. I used to have a fear of dinner time due to the food that might be served up. I cannot to this day stand potatoes, it wasn't the I was being picky per say, I just couldn't stand the taste. I was made to eat the food that made me feel sick, often times the dogs were my saving grace and I'd sneakily give them the bits of food I didn't like.

Other foods I dislike are spouts, kidney beans on their own, onion rings, and you.

I used to be really picky, but I've expanded my horizons in in the past 8 or so years. However, there are still a lot of undesirables.
  • Beans. Hate the texture, but I don't mind if its mixed in with the dish, and I like refried beans.
  • Olives. They have such a strong taste. I love olive oil, though.
  • Vegetable Lightning Round! Kale, Squash, Cauliflower, carrots (cooked), Beets, Okrah, Brussel Sprouts, Eggplant, Seaweed, Tofu
  • Anything reheated that has cheese.
  • Things that are both sweet and savory. Asian orange chicken and teriyaki, BBQ sauce.
  • Ketchup, Mustard, Horse Radish
  • Egg Drop Soup, Sunny-side up.
  • Coffee and coffee-related dishes like Tiramasu.
  • Iced Tea and anything sweet in hot tea.
  • Any kind of alcohol other than Ciders and sweeter white wines, and sangria.
That's a pretty comprehensive list, though. I'm likely to eat just about everything else.

  • Cheese. Every kind except shredded Parmesan and the stuff inside ravioli.
  • Anything spicier than old bay spice.
  • Baked beans are disgusting.
  • Cole slaw is disgusting.
  • Sauerkraut is gross as hell.
  • Pizza needs to not have cheese or sauce for me to like it.
  • I hate every kind of salad dressing except creamy Italian.
  • I hate barbecue sauce. And the flavor.
  • Ranch is disgusting.
  • Salt and vinegar chips are gross.
  • I hate potato salad and macaroni salad. And most other similar types of salad.
  • Mayonnaise is a crime against humanity.
  • Eggplants and cucumbers are gross.
  • Olives are gross. All of them. “Olive them” heh
  • Beets are disgusting. So is cranberry sauce.
  • I don’t like sweet potatoes.
  • Stuffing is disgusting.
  • Peppers are gross. Green, red, bell, all of them suck.
There’s more, but this list is long enough.

Wow, we agree on a lot, except cheese, ranch, cucumbers, and peppers.

The Reuben is a phenomenon of a sandwich that defies all logic. It is made up entirely of ingredients that I would never dream of eating in any other context. Rye Bread? Yuck! Corned Beef? Blech. Saurkraut? Makes me want to vomit. Thousand Island Dressing? I can think of a thousand better dressings. Yet somehow, bake theme all together and it turns into something magical.

I’m not a fan of too many foods, mostly because of texture.

The ones I hate the most though are:
  • Onions
  • Gherkins
  • Baked beans - nasty, horrible things
  • Bananas
  • Raw tomatoes - I’m fine with things that have cooked tomatoes in, as long as they’re not too chunky
  • Most dressings/sauces with the exception of ketchup
  • Olives
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Turnips
  • Peppers
  • Coleslaw- it makes me gag just thinking about it
  • Tea - I’m the only person I know personally that doesn’t drink tea.
