The first zelda game I actually played was Link to The Past except I didn't know it was Zelda lol. I just thought it was a cool game, but it wasn't until I played BOTW in 2022 that I became a Zelda fan and discovered that the cool game I played as a kid was actually a Zelda game! Then I played OOT which is the best video game of all time ofc, and now I'm a huge fan!

I often wonder what it would have been like to play ALttP as a kid, but I was only 2 when it came out, so I probably wouldn't have understood it. XD

ALttP. I didn't play it until in my late teens though. I grew up playing the NES Zeldas as a tiny child, then went to N64 when I was 8ish, and kept up with the series since then. My family slept on ALttP because they didn't like Zelda 2, and thought it would be like that one, lol.

I was born very shortly before Majora's Mask was released and grew up playing a combination of N64, GameCube, and Wii Zelda games. My favorite system in general was the GameCube but my favorite Zelda was Twilight Princess until I played Z1 for the first time as an adult and fell instantly and irrevocably in love. It's still my most replayed Zelda, beating out BotW by two replays at the moment; I'm genuinely of the opinion that BotW is only as good as it is because it went back to the Z1 roots of exploration and innovation, and I honestly prefer the original for myself, though I get why others prefer the newer version.
