They're all pretty close together so that's just a general order.

Hmm... my three favorite genres all derive from rock: Progressive/art rock (Tool, Pink Floyd, Radiohead), Indie rock (AWOLNATION, Foster the People), and Alternative metal (Chevelle).

Heavy Metal is about the closest to what I listen to so I'll go with that

I listen to the "Core" genre's which are basically Post-Hardcore, Hadrcore, Synthcore, Metalcore, and Deathcore. Any others area a subgenre.

I chose other because my favorites are usually female singer-songwriters (Fiona, Aimee, Joni, Tori, Kate, Bjork, PJ, etc.), indie (which in my opinion includes any band big or not, that dropped a major record label), and alternative.

Personally, I like anything that's good, whether it be a rap song like Look Pimpin, or a metal song like Open your Heart.

I listen to anything and everything, though I would have to say my favorite music genres are rock, classic rock, and videogame soundtracks.
