A creepypasta is a story that circulates around the internet, and as the title indicates, they are normally creepy.

The most famous on this forum, at least, is the Haunted Majora's Mask creepypasta. Detailing about the boy BEN who was drowned...and no spoilers for the rest of the story.

Anywho, this is where you can post your favorite creepypastas, or post one of your own.

*THESE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND ARE JUST STORIES. THE EASILY CREEPED OUT BE WARNED*

I find all of these on the creepypasta wiki.

Here is one of my favorites;

Old Markham House

Note: This house does exist.

Markham, Ontario is one of the major cities in the Greater Toronto Area. It is a city of sprawling, rapidly-rising suburban developments, shining skyscrapers and business. All of this popped up in only the last thirty years. Before then, Markham was a quiet town. It was not the technological capital of Canada, as the sign will claim. Most of these neighbourhoods were, perhaps in a time you lived in, farmland.

There still is farmland around the Markham-Pickering border. However, in the 1970s, the Canadian government purchased a large portion of this land, with plans to build a new airport, and a city around it. Many were forced out of their homes, businesses in this area were shut down. Hence, abandoned buildings were left behind.

The airport was never built. The people were never allowed to return to their homes. Their homes, decades later, still stand, some with all of their belongings untouched.

On Reesor Road, alongside some houses that are occupied today, you will find a dirt road leading into the forest. If you follow it, within a short distance it will lead to an abandoned house, in plain sight. Go inside. The house has been vandalized by teenagers and the ceiling is beginning to peel, but otherwise it is in good condition.

In the middle of the home you will see a stairwell, leading into the basement. In the entrance to the stairwell, the words "LEAVE NOW" will be spray painted on the wall. Don't. Walk down the stairs. They're quite rickety though, so make sure you've got the proper equipment. Sit on the ground and wait.

At exactly twelve in the morning, if there is a full moon, an old woman will walk down the stairs. You cannot hide from her, she will notice you right away.

She will say to you, "It's awfully late, do you need a ride home?"

Say yes. She will lead you upstairs and to her car, which will be parked on the dirt road by the house. When you step inside, she will not ask you where to go, she will simply begin to drive off. When she does, ask her, "Can you take me beyond here?"

She will reply, "That is certainly a daring request, I will see what I can do."

She will then hand you a puzzlebox from within her purse. It will be easy to solve, so don't worry about it. But when solved, half of it will fall off, revealing a question written inside the cube. This will be an entirely random question, one with an answer you may know very well, or one that requires a lot of thought, but it will always be very cryptic, perhaps relating to a past event in your life. She will turn to you when you are figuring out the answer, and ask, "Well?"

If your answer is correct, she will hand you a large piece of hard candy, but when you unwrap it, you will find a diamond inside. For some reason, however, after she does, you will begin to feel a bit empty, as if you are unaware of something important. Afterwards, she will drop you off safely at your home, but the feeling won't go away.

If your answer is wrong, she will slam into the nearest car she sees. You won't die in the crash, but your injuries will be critical. The next few days will be agonizing for you, but you will be completely aware, unable to sleep. Anesthesia and painkillers will have no effect on you. The old woman will come out unscathed. She will visit you in Markham-Stouffville Hospital and place her hand on your forehead. When she does, you will slip away. What you see will be the most beautiful thing you witness in your life, and what happens after that is unknown. She will tell you, however, "you are ready."

Polybius
creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Polybius said:
Polybius is an urban legend about a rare arcade game released in 1981. The game was created by a mysterious company called Sinneslöschen (German for "Sense Deletion") and was a puzzle/shoot-'em-up somewhat like Tempest. It was only released in a few suburbs of Portland, Oregon. It was supposedly very popular, with people forming long lines to play it. However, players reported strange things about the game, such as hearing a woman crying and seeing grotesque faces out of the corner of their eyes. Players would also have nightmares or even develop amnesia. Some even committed suicide. Others stopped playing video games altogether and at least one became an anti-video game activist.
According to one owner of an arcade, men wearing black suits would often come to collect "records" from the game. They did not take any money, simply data on gameplay. Because of this, the leading theory is that it was some sort of government experiment using subliminal messages. The game remains in obscurity as around one month after its release, all of the cabinets suddenly disappeared. One cabinet reappeared in an arcade 1998, but quickly disappeared again. While some have tried to recreate the game, no one has ever found the original ROM.

When I first heard about this, I scoured the internet searching for the original video to no avail, as it is believed to not actually exist. Many have tried to imitate the supposed original, but no one is believed to have gotten even close to such a feat. It surely is a creepy urban legend and it definitely gave me nightmares:O thinking about it!

A "sample" which is most likely an "imitation" (below):

An Apple A Day

Ever heard the phrase, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away?". Most treat it as a friendly reminder for children to eat their fruit and vegetables, but few actually know the true origins of the saying. It was not always a happy reminder, and originated in a small frontier town during the peak of the gold rush, when food was scarce and money even more so.

In August, when a bad drought had plagued the region, a series of bloody killings swept through the town. Every night, a single house would be broken into, and anyone who saw the invader would be swiftly and brutally slain. Nothing was taken except for a few scraps of food.

After two weeks of this, a local grocer had an idea, and set out a plate of apples and a glass of milk on the town square. He then hid in the church tower, and watched the streets, hoping to catch a glimpse of the invader.

Fighting fatigue, the grocer waited for any sign of life below. Just after midnight, he was rewarded with a chilling sight. A man, carrying a black bag stuffed with dully shining metal medical tools, dressed from head to foot in medical bandages stumbled into view. He paused at the sight of the apples and milk, then quickly looked around to see if anyone was watching. The grocer, seized with fear, ducked out of sight and waited there until sunrise.

In the morning, upon inspection, the stranger had only taken one of the apples, and had completely ignored the milk. No houses were broken into, and no-one was killed. The townspeople copied this tradition for decades, placing an apple or two out every night, even long after the apples stopped being taken. The tradition continues up to this very day.

I don't really have a favorite Creepypasta because I don't like them so much. The one that creeped me out the most is the Barney lost episode. It shouldn't have been any scarier than the others but I guess it was because Barney is a kid's show. Most of the others were just random blood and killing or just plain weird.

My favorite creepypasta so far is this one, here, which I liked a lot. Although, I suggest you don't read it if you are especially paranoid! :suspicious:

It describes a man's paranoia of being alone while being deceived by some terrible entity. His friends are no longer real, but have been replaced by said entity. And he can only trust his eyes, what he sees for himself. He cannot trust the telephone, or the computer, or the TV. Only what he sees for himself. In the end, he is driven to the brink of insanity, only keeping his will strong for the girl he loves.

This one is quite creepy, because I often find my imagination taking hold of me (generally at night :P) and thinking about things that could never happen. This is one of the longer creepypastas, but I enjoyed reading it greatly.

My favorite creepypasta is BEN. It kind of had that creepy feeling, even though it didn't use ghosts per se. Plus, hey, anyone who would go through that much trouble to glitch a video like that for YouTube is pretty dedicated.

I also like the whithand.gif creepypastas. Video game related ones are my favorites, to be honest.
