Human beings sure have a lot of expressions. Not the least of which are our manner of dress. Throughout the ages fashions have come and gone, from the good to the bad to the downright wrong! What are some of the best and worst dressed fashion eras in history?

The Bad:
1700's Europe and North America, Colonial Era and Enlightenment - Powered wigs, ribbons, stockings and heels for men and women, tricorner hats, and an ungodly excess of frills. It's difficult to imagine some of mankind's greatest scientists, philosophers, and military commanders dressing like that.

Dishonorable Mention:
1960s and 1970's Europe and North America - Bel bottoms and polyester, some of the most atrocious footwear in all of fashion history, plaid in colors plaid never had any business being comprised of, garish clashing colors in general, and eye wear whose hideousness is only surpassed by that awkward period in the 80s and early 90s. Never again, people. Never. Again.

The Good:

Turn of the Century Europe and North America, Victorian Era - Yeah, now we're talking! This is my favorite era for fashion. From swanky hats to tailored jackets, to opera gloves and hoop dresses, the turn of the century was the height of fashion in all of human history. Men looked dapper af, ladies looked classy and elegant. High class and lower class both boasted fashionable threads. Everyone was macked out to the hilt. Everyone was fly.

Honorable Mention:
Feudal Japan - I've always been a fan of Japanese stylings, be it landscaping or architecture. Japan's dress fashion is no exception. It's not easy to wear robes with sandals and socks and still manage to look fly, but somehow the Japanese even managed to do it looking bad ass.

@Castle Nice opinions there. There's no best or worst. Just most favourite and least favourite. I really like your choices

My opinions.

The Bad
2000 till now - Worldwide.
Zero style and lots of skin showing. Zero care put into dressing nicely (by some) and even showering seems to be an optional thing for some (gross)

Dishonourable Mention
Stone Age - Africa
Sure mammal pelts and flaps might have been the in thing in the day but there's so little variation there. No room to specialise or accessorise. You wore the same colours as what you killed. So boring.

Dishonourable Mention
3000 till more in the future - Worldwide
Every one in the future seems to be wearing the same things. Just in different colours. Little opportunity to individualise your outfit to fit your current mood or eveny you are attending.

Dishonourable Mention
1560 till 1660 The average pirate - The Caribbean.
The average pirate wore what ever pieces of dirty unwashed clothing he or she could loot or steal. Dirty, torn, stinky, didn't matter. It was that or being naked.

The Good

1920's till 29th October 1929 - Europe/UK and North America
Everyone dressed up all of the time. You just dressed up even more to go out. Even the poor and the gangstas did their thing in relative style. Also hats werea thing too. So many ways to accessorise. Things like ties and fancy dressews were worn all of the time.

Honourable Mention

Victorian era 1830's till 1900 - United Kingdom
Very colourful fashion with so many ways to accessorise. The silly things like ruffs and puffy shirts and dresses were out and everything looked ornate and amazing. The poor also dressed really nicely, even if it was plain, it was smart. Also the hats were really cool, though I do prefer the 1920's hats. The mens fashing had lost the colour of the Tudor times but also the crazy styles also.
