Not really. If the game included an instrument, I'm assuming it'd be used as very predetermined points to open doors, trigger cutscenes, and bring gameplay to a halt. Stuff like warping can already be handled directly through the map in BotW, so I see no reason to include one.

That's why we suggested instruments be used as aesthetic items. Hypothetically, instruments were added in the way discussed then they wouldn't change how you interact with the map. It would just change the animation that takes place while you teleport.

I'd be down with that. If BotW2 really does follow Zelda and writes Link and the Sheikah Slate out of the plot, it could be written in as some arcane focus Zelda uses to teleport.

I picked "undecided" since, really, I don't care either way. There definitely doesn't need to be an instrument in order to have a good Zelda game (which BotW demonstrated), but at the same time, if it's implemented well and ties into the gameplay nicely then I don't mind there being one.

As someone who loves music and finds all the music playing segments (except Spirit Tracks, stupid asthma) fun, I would love to see what they come up with next.

I'd like for there to be an instrument like an ocarina or a flute. I actually have an idea for how you could use it during gameplay, too. I've always found it annoying how you have to have a campfire to pass time in Breath of the Wild, whereas in games like Skyrim you can just push a button. However, no one will ever just sit there, doing nothing, for six, ten, twelve hours straight like you might want to skip in a videogame. I think it would be really cool if you could have an ocarina that you could use to pass the time. Imagine whipping out the ocarina, sitting down on a nice hillside, and the screen fades to black against the sound of Link's playing.
