Do You Think We Will Be Able to Control Trains in Zelda Ever Again?

I feel like that it someday might return. I loved Spirit Tracks cause you could ride around and edit your train. It was unique, and I'd love to see new features. Would you like to see it return, and what would you like to see if it did return?? :)

Depends where the DS games go. It's not gonna show up in the Wii U though. Still, I'd rather see the train again than the boat.

I'd love to see it return and when you blow the horn the smoke coming out would be all 3D like on the 3DS. But I must agree, it won't get on a console.

As much as I loved Spirit Tracks and the Spirit Train, I have a feeling it won't return. I didn't exactly meet with good reception. I felt it was fine the way it was, though. I absolutely adore the way it was in Spirit Tracks. If it returns, I would be fine with nothing changing.

Yes we need speed, an engine would be good, terrain I was fine with, the upgrades were cool but served no purposes so yeah they got to be better and it was already pretty dangerous thanks to those invincible demon trains.

I would not like to see the train again, but I'd rather have that than a boat to be honest. The train is set on tracks, meaning it's going to be rather linear. I hate following preset paths as you might be able to tell, so I hate the train.

All the hate being said, I do have to say this: I don't expect we'll see the train again any time soon. Spirit Tracks was panned BECAUSE OF the tain, because of the leap in technology (well, there are a bunch factors but among the fans, most of them panned ST due to trains existing). Nintendo loves to play it safe in some areas while exploring others, so I think they will ditch the train for a while. Perhaps it'll return in a future installment, just not in the near future?

The train tracks have a lot to offer, and there is quite plentiful of them. And there are more shortcuts to discover especially with the warps, and looking for bunnys you will be going back and forth through them. I do expect improvements if they bring it back though.

I think like a ghost train could be a really cool dungeon, or some kind of thing where you ride Epona along side the train in order to board it! (Western Style) Link could run along the top and fight in a close quarters enviroment, making swinging the sword wildly almost impossible. However I hate what Spirit Tracks did!! Let elaborate... HATE HATE HATE!!! I never hated a Zelda game until the Spirit Tracks was released!

I think we can see trains again, just like caleb said those Ideas are cool!

But as another form of transportation? No, the train was the theme of that game! Just like we won't see any other masks again.

Phantom Hourglass brought back the boat feature, why not do the same thing with Spirit Tracks and bring back the train? And this time with improvements? I think there is a great possibility

Phantom hourglass wasn't that great of a game either! They just made a small handheld version of Wind Waker that straight stunk! I loved the Pirate ship dungeon in SS and I loved the king of Red lions. I love the idea of free exploration. We should be more open-minded and instead of bringing these old ideas back, we should get new ideas. like a Hang glider. Or underground travel. Like using the Mole mitts to move through tunnels that link to many different places. I'd personally like to see Link ride a makeshift take a rocket ship to the moon!

If they do bring back trains, they probably won't be controllable. They will probably be used for transport you or for a trading sequence, etc.

There are some methods of transportation we'll only get to see and use once. For example, Loftwings were only used in Skyward Sword, they'll most likely never be able to be ridden again. It's certainly possible that trains could be seen again, but I see it as unlikely. Popular methods are Epona, boat, and foot, meaning they're more likely to make a return than others.

Personally I wouldn't like to see it happen again, unless they completely re-did the system. I hated having too drag my stylus across the screen constantly. I felt like I was going to break the touch screen; there's a problem with a games functionality when I feel as if it's going to break my system. I did not like being unable too travel freely. It was a pretty neat idea, but it gets old quickly. Now, if you could run around a field to explore OR be able too ride the train and bypass everything, then I might enjoy that game. However, I feel that it is very unlikely.
