England is not the best place to live. We have no protection for freedom of speech here. People are arrested for teaching their pugs to do a hitler salute as a joke and police ignore real crimes like the theft of my friends bike in order to focus on arresting people for mean comments online and confiscating dangerous assault spoons. The trains are always late. The health service is poor and hardly any trust in the country will get you scans or treatment for cancer in a timely manner. Waiting rooms in A&E are crowded and it takes hours to see anyone. Our government sucks and their inability to deliver the result of our referendum to leave the European Union on the 29th of march this year has made the country a laughing stock and drawn more attention to the fact that elected representatives will work against the will of the people who elected them to serve their own self interests. England is basically going down the ****ter and if it does I will probably be able to leave. Many do not have that luxury however.
I definitely would want to move to Japan. I was amazed by the place, the beauty of the sights, its food and it's people when I visited. I love that they have a culture of respect over there, and their efficiency, something which is nonexistent in my country. For instance their trains are amazing and come on time to the second. Also I love the streets are not full of litter, and there is low levels of crime.

All of this. I hate where i live. I Dislike the city and the quality of people. Our politics are a mess and we have no unity at all as a country socially and politically.
I'd like to move to Japan too. The people seem so nice over there.
I complain about the city I live in often, but I grew up here so it's home. I'm not going to say moving isn't an option, maybe I will move elsewhere in the future, but as for now I don't foresee myself moving to a different city, and I certainly won't move out of the US. Yeah, we often complain about our politics, but I still have hope in this country.
Here in my neck o the woods, in Idaho, in the United States, it's pretty great.
Where I live right now with the boyfriend is very quiet. It's a very small village. It's also far away from both mine and Tony's job. So we both definitely wanna move. We're hoping to move to a big city nearby our working places. When it comes to moving out of the country; yes, we both like to move. My boy is from Belgium and I'm dutch. But if we get the opportunity to move we won't let it slip.

Oregon is nice weather wise. I live in one of the NotPortland cities that dot the state, so traffic is alright. People aren't bad aside from the rare *******. Homelessness is a MAJOOOOR issue tho. Also since I'm in any city that's not Portland, job opportunities are slim. My house is nice cause it's centrally located between the stores and schools. the farthest walk is only 30 minutes if that. 6/10 not bad but not great.

Can't complain these days. Contrary to all the noise, things have improved in the good ol' USofA. Economy's great. Jobs are happening. Housing market's up, etc.
People around where I live have always been basically decent folk. The closest city is a poverty stricken, crime ridden, incompetently mismanaged cesspool of corruption but I don't live there nor do I spend much time in it so it's not something I have to worry about much.
I've lived around here all my life and haven't had to complain much. The local taxes are stupidly high and always getting higher but where aren't they? I'm sure there are better places to live out there but there's certainly worse.

To answer my own question...
It's alright.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, which is the 5th or 6th largest city in the country (and one of the two fastest growing) and also the furthest north. So with that said, the winters here are long, dry, and cold while the summers are short with 19 hours of daylight and very frequent thunderstorms. So from a weather standpoint, it's not ideal.
When I first moved here 4 years ago, I loved how it has an extremely vibrant performing arts community, one of the biggest in the country, so it turned out to be a perfect place for me. The traffic sucks since the street layout is horrendous, but the public transit is alright. This city (and province) also used to be super accepting of the LGBT community and supported marriage equality so it was a nice place for me to feel comfortable coming out. We are also one of the few Canadian provinces to have no provincial sales tax, so goods are generally cheaper.
We had an election a couple months ago though, and the province is now under a very conservative leadership. The support for the LGBT community and the arts is all but gone, so the benefits I personally had being here are quickly dying away. Because of this, I cannot say that I like living here as much as I used to, so after the final year of my degree I may leave not just this city or province, but also this country, because the Canadian government is stepping backwards in many respects while the American government, as much as I never though I would say it, is moving forward in the same respects. So a relocation may be imminent.
But with all that said, until **** really hits the fan, I like it here. This city in particular is still very welcoming to the LGBT community despite being the provincial capital, and the arts district is still thriving for now. So I'll hold onto what makes this place great while it lasts.

Las Vegas, sin city, and an interesting city at that. It never sleeps, it's always 24/7, no matter what you want to do. Late movie? Late breakfast? 4am club stop? Peoplewatching at 3am on the strip? It truly has something for everyone, no matter what shift you work, and that's pretty cool.
PROS
My wife's family is here, and some of my family is here too. I would only consider moving if it was back to Florida, and I could get the same type of house, making the same amount of money I make now.
PROS
- 24/7. Most of the city is accessible at the time of your choosing.
- Diverse community. We have people from all walks of life here.
- High end food and beverage destinations, some of the best in the world.
- Cost of living, for us is very cheap. We bought our home for $160k, and it has everything we need.
- Job market is great, hotels, casinos, restaurants, and the service industry in general is always hiring.
- We have our own NHL and NFL team, which has created a huge impact on the team spirit of the city.
- Due to the low cost of living, we are getting an influx of people from Calfornia, Denver, Hawaii, etc, driving the real estate up.
- One of the worst education systems in the United States.
- Large number of HOA communities.
- So, damn, hot. Dry desert heat + 110F+ weather can bite me.
My wife's family is here, and some of my family is here too. I would only consider moving if it was back to Florida, and I could get the same type of house, making the same amount of money I make now.

Not particularly the job prospects in my area are **** and if you want to work as anything you need to travel to the city centre then on from there to reach anywhere else, i do enjoy the fact it's peaceful in my area and not much happens but on the flipside, not much happens here.
I'm kinda between two places at the moment.
At this moment I am in (Western) Sydney for the month which is my hometown that I've grown up in for pretty much my whole life. It is pretty boring around here with not much to do but I love to be able to run into friendly people who I know and enjoy being able to see the stars at night. The weather is great but the cost of living sucks.
Also I am living in Tokyo which I totally love. There is always something to do and it seems a much better city to hang around in when you're young. I always feel safe when there and the cost of living is really not as bad as it is in Sydney.

My current city is nice but I miss living in my old one cuz that is where all my friends are. now they are an hour drive away sometimes in traffic which makes it longer.
