Nintendo have a hefty catalogue of IPs and they could make a new game for any of them any time they wanted, the problem is, is that they don't.
Kid Icarus only comes around every 25 years or so.
F-Zero hasn't seen a proper release since the Gamecube (inexplicably missing a 3DS game that could have been called '3DX', come on Nintendo).
Ice Climbers, Earthbound... Hell, even DK had a rough time after DK64 with not having a game worth a damn until Retro got a hold of him.
And speaking of Retro, Metroid keeps disappearing.
So, do Nintendo leave their IPs dormant for too long?
Would you prefer them to spread their attention a little wider with their IPs each generation and bring back some old names?
