Um, Majora's Mask comes after OoT in the Time Line so. . . It would makes sense to add in a whole bunch of refference's. . .

Well done, but it has no significance as the shield was modified for Link after OoT.

I never noticed that before, but that is a very nice catch. Maybe Link had a personalised Hylian Shield made just for him with a Master Sword design thing.

Nice resemblance, but I'm sure it doesn't mean anything for the canon. It may be a reference to OoT, but nothing more.

Sorry, but a good reason why that happened was because the Master sword is Fi (who has wings). The shield was thought better toward that design because of religion, culture, and what ever. I dont think its very new, we all seen this before. Sorry though...
