1. BTW the rules also say that if a number is counted twice you continue as from that number without fixing the count.

Locke can't ruin the count until you all reach 10, since in my experimentation on other forums, hitting 10 is where it starts to gather steam. That being said, the count should still be at 8. However, because the last count was 3, continue from there.
