the 3D Zelda games really bring out the fun side of things with inhabitant animals that Link finds around Hyrule throughout the timelines..

In OoT we had the murderous Cuccoos, in WW we had cute pigs and in SS we have the freaky Remlits.

So, in the next Zelda which animal do you think we will see to have fun with and torture during the game? Which animal would you like to see and how do you think we could interact with it?

People should have pet dragons that they send to opposing countries to burn down their villages and bring back food and livestock so that they may prosper.

Nah, I'm just kidding. I don't really care what kind of animals we see in the future. So long as they're interesting, I'm good.

I want to contribute! I think the next kind of animal, the next cucco-blaster type, should definitely be wolves or canine-variants. I would love it! I want to be able to beat the dogs until they call a pack, then the pack chase us /wherever/ we go, just like the good ol' days of OoT. <3

Twilight Princess had dogs. Yeah, so did OoT and MM, but they look fugly. The Twilight Princess-like dogs were freaking adorable. Playing fetch is a favourite past-time of mine.

You forgot about the dogs! And cows! ...And other animals!
But nonetheless, I have always wished to see wolfs, or other pack canine animals, that live in the forest, that would go in a mad rampage, gathering their fellow canine friends by howling, if you were to harm them. Reminds me of cuccoos though. And if you'd be nice to them, they would let you too play with them, like the freakin' adorable dogs from TP: I just loved to play fetch with them!

I would love to see an Elephant in a Zelda game. That would be hilarious. Also some other animals like Lions, Bears, Deer, Bulls, etc. Any kind of animal, would be hilarious to show in a Zelda game.

Honey Badgers. No Ganon needed, your game objective is to rid the world of honey badgers. That should solve all these difficulty complaints we've been having lately.

Oh, definitely this! I would love to fight of some crazy, nasty *** honey badgers! I recall seeing some mole-like creatures in a few recent Zelda games, so what harm would introducing some honey badgers do to the series?

I'd rather see lions, and tigers, and bears. Just think about it, they'd make you go "oh my!"

Also, owls. I know we already have that one in OoT, but I'm talking about smaller, more realistic owls that hunt at night. You could train them to get rid of pests for farmers or something. Also owls are just cool. In the middle of a fight you can call one out and have it attack your enemies to distract them while you deal with the others.

Early on in a game, there's a hunting mini-game where Link needs to feed his adoptive family (this might work better with an adult Link, but I've known people who've started hunting at age 10-12 ). You learn to use the bow by bringing home some venison. (You don't see the skinning/cleaning stuff, just the hunting). It'll be like the mini-game in Oregon Trail! The deer in the game could even be agressive, so you don't feel bad about killing any of them. Imagine something coming at you full-tilt with antlers... maybe even tusks/fangs bared (there are a few species of deer that grow fangs. Look up Chinese Water Deer and Muntjac). Kill a "monster-deer" and your family is fed for the winter.

Of course, if a game were based on my stupid Western fanfic, we'd see coyotes and jackrabbits, maybe quail and javelina.

Cattle. Cattle would be cool to see - not just Holstien milk-cows like we've seen already, but more like beef-type and wild-type. Herefords, long-haired Scottish Highlalnd cattle, Longhorns... The people of Hyrule are seen eating meat (look behind the counter at Telma's in TP) and a lot of it looks like beef. Theyv'e gotta get that beef from somewhere.
