Can You Play Wii Games on the Wii U?

I was wondering, since I have both the Wii and the Wii U, if I can play my Wii games on the Wii U? Just so I can make my point clear, though, I'm not getting rid of my Wii, no matter what. I love my Wii. <3 :triforce:

Yes. The Wii U is backwards compatible with all Wii software and peripherals.

All Wii games are supported to my knowledge including periphals. GC games are not.
