A minor issue with Skyward Sword was that you could only have one item equiped. It many ways it was like the classic titles - you could typically use your sword and another item - but I just prefer the multiple tools at the ready approach that OoT and the other 3D games used. So, I was wondering...how many of you would prefer to be able to have multiple items mapped at once? And how many of you just don't care? :)

I'd prefer to be able to equip multiple items at once. If Nintendo is going to use the GamePad, they have no reason not to do so, considering the amount of buttons on it. The fact that there was only one item slot in Skyward Sword was an issue for me, as switching out items became very tedious very quickly.

Have all the items and other stuff on the gamepad, and just touch the item you want to use... and use it :).

The way SS did it, it more than compensated for the one item slot, it allowed you to change items on the fly without pausing the game.

I agree and disagree. Changing items on the fly was necessary since we had only one item slot. However, SS in general was a much more active game, so I don't think that they did this because of the one item thing. And even then, pulling up the item wheel was more annoying than it needed to be. Most times, you only need around 3 items, so why couldn't we use the D-PAD? D:

In starfox adventures, it allowed you to change items without pausing, it used the c-stick for that, it grouped certain items into categories to make it easier to find them.

They could have put maybe two items in each d-pad directions since there's around 8 items in the game I think.
