Breath of the Wild BotW Timeline Placement?

I really have no ideas on what timeline BotW will take place, since the tribe Rito has been confirmed. I hope it happens on the child timeline, the last zelda of the child timeline
was in 2006 (Twilight Princess). And the downfall timeline 2015 (Triforce Heroes), and the adult timeline (Spirit Track) was in 2009. There are already many games in the downfall timeline.

An Imprisoning War (or pre Imprisoning War) placement could make sense, but it doesn't actually have a lot riding for it, as there are too many inconsistencies, such as the flashbacks and some of the lore (eg; Calamity Ganon "suddenly" showing up 100 years ago) .

If you read the part on imprisioning war in Hyrule historia, it seems to be two-parts. One were Ganon destroys hyrule and there is a big battle with heavy casulties. And one part where the sages seal him while the hyrulian knights protects them. There is nothing stopping it from being hundred years between those events. And the first part would explain why the world look like it does.

And it isn't like Nintendo haven't retconned things in the past. The games are after all just loosely connected.

Aounumas comments on this not being connected to WW make me think this is not an Adult Timeline placement.

I am guessing this is going to be a game which takes place after TP and FSA. During the developer interviews for TPHD he said there would be connections between the games and this is the only real place that makes sense to have those connections.

The Rito and Koroks can come about late in the other timelines as well as just the AT. It may have been a flood that triggered their evolution before WW but it does not have to be that in another branch.

Also just because Zora's were what evolved into Rito does not mean they can't exist together. If you had an isolated island and put a bunch of humans on it and left them for many thousands of years they could evolve into a different species of human whereas the mainstream humans would still exist everywhere else. Same with Zora's and Rito. It doesn't have to be the whole Zora species became Rito, just some of them.

That isn't two parts; the heavy casualties WERE the Knights of Hyrule. Their bloodline almost entirely diminished due to them protecting the sages so they could complete another seal on the Sacred Realm. And sure, things can be retconned, but placing an entire timeline theory on it and then gambling said retcon will actually happen isn't the safest of bets.
