Yolo here, looking for a "bluetooth dongle" in order to connect my real Wiimote to my PC (strictly for recreational purposes, mind you). I was wondering a couple things, though:

What the hell is a bluetooth dongle anyway?
What does it do?
Do you have any recommendations for ones that are under $20?

Thanks for helping :)

USB dongles are slow, unreliable, and have to occupy a USB port to be used. Get a PCI-E bluetooth card instead.

Amazon.com: Intel Centrino 2230 Mini PCI Express Bluetooth 4.0 2230BNHMW IEEE 802.11n Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo Adapter 300 Mbps: Electronics

This one's a WiFi-Bluetooth combo card, but I'm sure you can also find a Bluetooth-only card if you want.

Yeah I think a PCi card is overkill for something as minor as Bluetooth. Forget about using up a USB slot, I think using up a PCi slot is a much worse alternative. I use a dongle for Bluetooth and it works just fine.

Here's mine
