What are your favorite BGMs? I've heard better music from past Zelda games but there are 3 that strike me as awesome.

I agree that Skyward Sword's music was not the best, but this freaking song man :

I love that one too, I was going to include it but since I had his battle theme I decided to just post Ballad of teh Goddess.

The problem I find with SS BGMs are they that sound traditionally more like RPG BGMs, and while I guess I can classify Zelda as an RPG, I didn't really feel that until SS.

You wouldn't believe how much I love the Past Lanayru Desert music. It sounds so freaking cool. I love the mechanical sound effects that are used.

I really love the Mini Boss music. They both sound really gypsy-like.

The Legend of Skyloft if pretty awesome too:

Fi's theme is just amazing and beautiful in every variation of it:

But my absolute FAVOURITE music in the entire game is that that is used a couple times, in completely different environments, and is the one reason that I love getting the Triforce of Courage so much:

First things first, I have to say Skyward Sword's music was simply phenomenal and one of the best soundtracks to ever grace gaming. Easily the best in the series, and without a doubt some of my favorite.

To start the list off, this boss battle track is one of the most energizing and battle-appropriate tracks I've ever heard. It just makes the feeling of "Bring it on!!" scream inside me. Bosses by themselves in SS were great, but their music really sold the feeling the fights were supposed to present, and that's a welcome factor to me.

This one isn't my favorite in the game, but it perfectly fits the situation its set in, which is the impressively creepy Guardians Awaken sequence. It's also just a kick-*** track.

The Sky's theme is one of the most grand and adventurous tracks I've ever heard in the Zelda series, and it captured the sense of freedom and open space the Sky provided perfectly.

Finally, this last track is possibly my favorite track in the entire series. When I first heard this music, I just stood there with chills down my spine. It fit the atmosphere so well. So desolate. So abandoned. So lifeless. Yet there was obviously life in the past. Never before had a piece of music in Zelda done this to me. I've heard plenty of lovely tracks in the past from the series, but this one just captured the emotion of the area effortlessly, and while I don't think it's necessarily the best track in the series, the impact it had on me earns its title as my favorite track in Skyward Sword.

I'm not a big fan of the Skyward Sword soundtrack, but there were a few pieces of music within the game that stood out to me.

The above fanfare did not give quite the same effect as the Twilight Princess equivalent in my opinion, but was still great nonetheless, even though it only appeared twice within the game. (forgive me if this does not count as Background Music)

As far as boss themes go, this was one of the best in the game, or at least in my opinion. It is a fresh change from the traditional sound of boss music in the game, though it's a shame the boss in question was so easy to defeat.
