This is what I heard!
AARON ECKHART has launched a new bid to convince director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN to revive Batman comic book character TWO-FACE for the sequel to THE DARK KNIGHT.
The actor, who portrayed Harvey Dent and his alter ego Two-Face, saw his character appear to be killed off in the 2008 blockbuster, and assumed he would not be a part of any future movie installments.
But Eckhart is now appealing to Nolan to consider bringing Two-Face back from the dead - mimicking a popular technique used on dramatic TV soap
He says, "I think I've talked myself out of the job. I thought I'd died. But you know, America's grown up on soap operas and reinventing people so why doesn't Chris take that into consideration (when he's writing the script)?" The star admits he would jump at the chance to join the cast of Nolan's third Batman outing, but would understand if the director decided not to where The Dark Knight left off, out of respect to the late Heath Ledger, who played The Joker.
Eckhart adds, "If Chris asked me back, I would love to. Heath really was meant to come back as The Joker (for the next movie) as we all would want him to do so maybe this will be the way it is and be its own little thing." Ledger died from an accidental in January 2008.

Wait, another Batman movie is being made? Why haven't I heard of this yet? :\ I'll have to look into it.

If it's true that a new movie is being made, then I'm going definitely going to see it. The last two movies were done very well, and I bet they could pull off making another one.

That's interesting. I kinda thought that the way Two Face was killed off was a little strange. But I didn't think they'd be bringing him back if another movie was to be made. If they do bring him back, I hope they manage to do it right and not make a lame way of pulling him back into the story. But I think that they will most likely not use him again and just come up with another villain.

Official word right now is that there is no word on what's going on. Christopher Nolan is very tight-lipped on his films, Batman or not, and it's too early to start gathering rumours. WB employees and people in the know have gone on record in saying that Nolan's not made a decision on anything yet, even if he's going to come back and make a 3rd. I'm sure he will, but the only wording that should be believed right now is what he said before he put Dark Knight into production. It's basically "I'd like to do another one, but we have to find the right script first".

I'm a huge Batman fan, so I will definitely be waiting to see what's to come of it, but so far all of the casting rumours are just internet speculation I'm afraid.

This. ;)

I would love a third movie. The last two were awesome.

As for what would occur in the next one... I have my own theories, but there's nothing proven. I think it'll follow Batman movie tradition: having two villains. Every Batman movie after the first had this, and even these new movies have done it.

I see Bane and that evil version of Batman as a likely pair for the next movie. Also, Catwoman and Mr. Freeze are very important Batman villains who would add to the story. They might even go together well in a single movie.

I really don't think they're going to bring back Two Face. These movies are supposed to be a realistic take on Batman, and there's no realistic way to bring him back to life.

I want to see a Batman with the Penguin being portrayed as a short, fat guy.

They made a Batman movie with a short fat guy it was Danny Devito... In the Batman Returns... It is an old movie so.. :)
