I ran an Attack on Titan roleplay for a while.

In other words, it was a non-traditional roleplay. People played various original characters while I did scene-setting and played the Titans. I decided the deaths (and each character death WAS permanent). It was fun while it lasted, but it fizzled out after a while, perhaps there was too much apathy created by the setup of random deaths with the need/premise/drive to create new characters.
Anyway, this rp that you're proposing, would it be something like mine, or would it be more of a character-driven, more canon-type roleplay in the traditional manner?

It would take elements that yours had (like permanent death) along with a few of my own. There will be two chars (me and one other) that can assume Titan form. We will not be using chars from the anime but they will appear now ane then. The premis is we are all recruits to the squad reg. we will go on missions and live normal lives. Now and again I'll throw in a Titan attack
