Nintendo Are you getting a Switch 2?

I own every Nintendo home console released so I'm sure I'll keep the streak going with this one but the when is to be confirmed. If any games really grab my attention I'll get it on launch but it is more likely that I'll wait for a limited edition version later down the line like I did for the Switch iterations (I got the Super Smash Bros Switch and the Zelda OLED Switch).

I'll probably really want to, but I doubt I'll have the cash because poor people problems. Maybe I'll have enough by Christmas, but I'm actually hoping the launch games aren't that good so I don't feel left out lmao

I reckon I'll get one at launch for sure. Transitioning to a new console is always way easier when it's backwards compatible, and I know I'm bound to want one within the first year anyway, unless there is literally no games at all. It also helps I have more disposable income compared to the last console launch almost eight years ago.

Eventually, yeah. I'll consider buying it at launch if it has a strong enough software library, otherwise I'll likely wait until later like Christmas or earlier if a neat special edition comes out.

I probably won't be getting one for quite some time. I can't really afford a whole new console, and my current switch works just fine. My dad is planning to get a switch 2 tho, not immediately but soon enough, so if a new Zelda game comes out that's exclusive to the system I can borrow it from him.

((sorry if i missed a thread about preorders)) i did watch the clock turn from 11:59 to 12:00 the night of preorders, fought for 12 minutes and was able to get one! feel super lucky, as i know there are others who tried right away but weren’t able to get one :/ got the mario kart bundle

A lot of consoles can be put off when the launch titles are not what you would buy the system for. I mean N64 had great launch titles, GameCube was meh till Smash Melee came out, and Wii I do not recall having anything that was "I must get this for that game." I wish developers would work hard to get at least one game that makes the console buy worthy at launch. I understand Mario Kart World is big, there hasn't been a MK at day one since N64 I think (I am speaking only of the consoles, not handhelds).

This. Don't get me wrong, I love Mario Kart and Donkey Kong (finally, another 3D one) and one day I'll try to get them, but they don't hype me up enough to be like "I gotta save up right now for this."

Guess I might as well mention I snagged a pre-order on the night it went live. I just got the standard edition, though. I don't ever plan on playing Mario Kart.
