Are Nintendo Games Truly Rehashes?

They established great franchises 25-30 years ago and continue to build upon them with new innovative game play mechanics, interesting ideas, and captivating stories. All their current first party franchises work like a charm and have been selling millions of units over the years. Why fix or change something when it's not broken?

Still didn't answer my question, but thanks anyway...

I'm sorry... I guess that was an impulsive post. Maybe I misinterpreted something or some people's posts, but it seemed to imply that some people only thought Nintendo did this.

I'm really sorry.

Yes and so what? Everyone does it, EVERYONE.

It's silly to say the criticism of rehashes be something SPECIF fault of Nintendo, or even one company in general.

No.

Nintendo tends to follow the same core formula for their franchises, sure, but... why wouldn't they? Unless there's something inherently wrong with a core formula, there's no need to change it. What's important for any long-running franchise, gaming or otherwise, is for it to grow and evolve by adding more to its core formula and refining elements of the past -- and Nintendo games tend to do this excellently.
