3-Heart Challenge Questin

I am doing my first 3-Heart Challenge of OoT.(My first ever 3-Heart Challenge of any Zelda game)I started it last night and I have a question about it. Would it be cheating if I got all 4 bottles and kept fairies in them at all times like I do in my normal playthroughs of OoT?

I would think not. If you're just doing a 3-heart run, then you're all right getting whatever other items. However, if you're doing a minimalist run, then you shouldn't get the Empty Bottles.

Not at all. The purpose of the Three Heart Challange is to finish the game with only three hearts. If you wanted you could go and do all the other side quests, all exept the heart piece ones of course. So all in all it would not be cheating to get all the bottles.
