Look, I'm pretty sure that more than 50% of the community will say: :)Ocarina of Time:), O.K, OoT really is a good game, but what about Majoras Mask?

I prefer Majora's Mask over Ocarina of Time.

MM has more feeling to it, which makes it a better game for me.

First of all, Welcome to ZD, bunnyhood! :)

Next, I find them to be slightly tied. In regards to length and how much I had in the dungeons, OoT wins.

In sidequests and characters, MM blows OoT out of the water

In overall enjoyment for me, it's a tie. So I can't measure which is better.

id say its even between the two.

there is more to do in Ocarina.
More side .quests.
The music in the game is better than MM.
Ocarina has better cutscenes for sure.

MM is harder in many ways.
Like trying to get all heart pieces.
The levels in MM are harder.
Getting the fairies in each level is tough.

On my scale MM gets an eighth higher than OoT.

I just find MM slightly more entertaining than OoT in every aspect.

I believe there are more side quests in MM than there are in OoT.
And I thought the music was better in MM, but I guess that's your opinion.

It's a close call but I definitely have to Majora's Mask. I love OOT to death but MM had an effect on me that few games do. Of course, OOT did as well...just not as strongly. The atmosphere of MM was far superior of that to OOT and that's why I love it more! :)

Majora's Mask. Period.
OoT was undoubtedly great. But my god, Majora's Mask had an atmosphere that cannot be combated. The music and environments were overall much better than OoT, imo.
There's also the matter of the plot. I absolutely loved all of the plotlines in MM to bits. All of those silly little sidequests had stories behind them that gave meaning to it all, and it was refreshing to see a non-ganon based main plot. The whole three-day system was brilliant in my opinion, added urgency and a mysterious quality, seeing as everything you do was reversed when you went back in time. And for some reason, I found that MM was able to play on emotions far better than OoT. Just the little things too, not the big things. Like finding the swordsman in the training school during the final hours before the moon crash, that felt genuine. A feeling I hardly ever felt in OoT.
I still love OoT, but MM truly has my heart.

Majora's Mask, because you can get through all the dungeons. In OoT, I have tried every flippin doorway in the Water Temple, and nothing works.

I say that OOT is a 10/10, and MM would be like a 9.5/10, they are both amazing and fantastic games. But they are very, very, different in atmosphere. OOT is epic, good vs evil. MM is so dark creepy, good vs insanity. MM's atmosphere is one of the strangest and unique in all of video games.

Oh, Majora's Mask without a doubt. I have to agree with what most people are saying. The plot, atmosphere, character interation, music, etc. are all top notch. I love OoT a lot, I realy do, but it simply cannot compare with the epicness of MM. There are some things I do like more about OoT, but there's not enough of them to be able to make me like OoT more.

OoT is still probably my second favourite Zelda, however.

first of all MM no questions asked. MM and OoT don't even compare in game play. MM's game play includes: intense dungeons, [epic] side quests, and the game even goes ahead to turn what seemed very minor characters, into having their own back storys. The bosses proved different as well, unlike OoT there was not the about 6 hits to kill the boss it went with a lot more hits to kill, and the boss did a lot more damage from attacks. Hell, I almost found my self stuck on the first boss. OoT is completely different in general. i would have to say Oot is like the first/second Zelda games but in a 64-bit setting. Oot is a very challenging game, i'll say that. But its not a game that has very many things hidden, as well as it doesn't make you want to mess around in it afeter your done because theres not much to find. If i'm counting correctly then there is about two mini quests in the game.Don't get me wrong, Oot is amazing a great play through the first time. Overall, OoT has not as big of a world as MM but still has great game play. MM, however, has an amazing world, challenging game play, and very fun mini quests.

Damn, this is sounding like a game review

It is a difficult question! I am an impatient individual and I want to complete things in a rush (why did I get fascinated by the Zelda series?). Because I am so impatient the obvious answer would have to be that I prefer OoT. MM is not a game for the impatient, it is a game for the deeper individuals. But MM is truly a masterpiece, you have to look at the details and once you do there is no way back, MM is a 10/10 game (and not a 9.5). But still I must say that I prefer OoT. You might ask why? I will say: The Water temple, hated by so many but so great, it is the best dungeon to be found and I wish Onox would be the main boss! (Or a Shadow Link with more skills)!
