haven't really seen opinions on this but I'll just say, the majoras mask edition of the new 3ds looked really unappealing, the previous zelda 3ds special editions looked way better

heck look at Xenoblade 3, massive areas that have dedicated themes and you can spend a lot of time in so to answer your question, I can spend a good deal in an area given it's not a theme I dislike

I'm fairly certain if they decided to do traditional melodic music, they wouldn't have one single theme for the entirety of the overworld, it'd be region based

I'll admit putting this here comes out of spite, but I would much rather a brand new 2d zelda over a remake of a previous one

despite what I may have said in the past, whether WW and TP HD come to Switch or not makes no difference to me, I'm still ok going back to the gamecube copies I have it just makes all the sense in the world for them to come, but personally I wouldn't get anything out of it, though it'd be great...

a game being ranked lower doesn't mean it's disliked, just people like the later games more, zelda 1 is still well liked even w/ the age I think you can go either way on the multiplayer games and zelda 2 for which is more liked

zelda 1 is practically guaranteed to be in people's top 5 NES games and it's one of the most influential video games ever, even if you think it's overlooked, I don't see how recognizing it as a good game is unpopular yeah I can more so see how being over the moon about zelda 1 might look...

people don't exactly talk up the multiplayer games either though, I guess calling it "fun" is unpopular (despite me agreeing it's fun) but the rest I'm not seeing the zelda 1 comment is flat out a normal take, thecat didn't say it was in their top 5, just it's a good game still, which yeah it is

they're both very cryptic, but to me, burning a random bush to uncover a later dungeon still takes the cake in zelda 1, that or playing the flute at the lake

I don't disagree, I played wind waker when I was 7 but probably beat it a year later, even so I've played it a number of times since then and I have trouble seeing ganondorf anything more than what I said

I never latched on to ganondorf's portrayal in wind waker as anything that deep like other people do, yeah he has a couple interesting lines but, that's all it was for me, just a couple interesting lines

for gamecube hardware its pretty good, the artsyle just didn't really age well, but I also still liked the environments too

link's awakening remake's style should NOT be adopted in an oracles remake, I don't want those games remade anyway, but if they were, I do not agree that they should look like the awakening remake

actually yeah, it'd probably lean into the oracles anyway and eventually link's awakening to round out that whole saga, my mind always goes to the oracles b/c of their fantastic artwork and seasons having virtually no story, so they can fill it w/ whatever they want

then you've come to a safe haven the reason why I think the legend of zelda or oracle of seasons/ages would make the best anime adaptations (besides their already anime-esque artsyles} is b/c there isn't a lot going on in those games story wise, so I think there'd be a lot more creative freedom...

ever since skyward sword, I've been sick of the whole "new link, new story" set up, we've got too many incarnations of him already, I'd rather every zelda game from now on be a sequel or a follow up to an already established link on a new journey

from who, Az? ha the main companions people bring up in series are Navi, Midna, and Fi, and I think we know which one is the most liked out of those 3
