Your scan, just rotated with the names marked.
Looks like Gaepora to me. Kaepora Gaebora is printed later in that paragraph; just compare the words. Even if the scan quality is low, the letters look distinguishable to me :/...
Looking at the scans closer, the name is actually spelled Gaepora, which is like a combination of Kaepora Gaebora. I'm anticipating a lot of misspellings of this poor fellow's name.
That totally slipped my attention the first time around. That pretty much confirms that enemy as the Pyrup then, since Pyrups were described as fire-breathing, hiding in the wall/under rocks, and killed by bombs:
On a random note, those things are bloody adorable for some reason. SO glad the...
Actually, now that I have the time to sit down and read the actual GI scans, I finally got some context to some of the quotes revealed two days ago. They said there was "a tiny seal-like enemy called a ‘Pyrup’ [that] hides beneaths rocks and inside walls", encountered in the Eldin Volcano area...

What can be...
On another note, with ALL this new info pouring in so quickly, really need some time to process it all @_@
What I really tuned in on was that Fi now has a confirmed name spelling.
Game Informer says "statues are save points and portals to the world above the clouds", so they ARE the save...
The parachute is called a sailcloth, Phi addresses Link as "Master" (and her voice is beautiful), and there is one of those little bird statue things where Link landed in Eldin Volcano, so it prolly functions as a way to call down his bird and return to the skies above.
Indeed, it would be a lot more organized to keep all the known information about the game in one place. The threads have been merged, and the title slightly changed so people don't get confused that all tidbits can be added here.
