Every morning before work I check the live stream of the World Chess Championship, but I don't get to watch the games live. I looked at the game today when they were in the endgame and predicted it'd be another draw just because the position was so equal, and I saw no legitimate counterplay...
This video is great.
But my chess player mind can't help but also analyze the gameplay. The moves in the video are just too risky to ever play, it'd be better to just clear out the central pawns and then decide early whether to trade queens or not. Typically I don't mind a trade of queens early...
Really interesting stuff. Apparently the Knight alone in any high quality chess set makes up most of the cost, I didn't know that but it makes sense, it is surely the most difficult piece to carve. If demand for premium chess sets continue on an upward price trend, I'm so glad I finally got one...
