That doesn't make sense though. That's the perfect time to soft. Because it's either you're gonna be lynched or you put a potential target on your back but are still alive.

It's either get lynched or hint that you may be important. If the alternative is not getting to use your role at all then it doesn't matter much to make yourself a potential night target.
