Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

I think something similar to the Master Sword would work. When a weapon breaks, it should sit dormant in your inventory. From there, you can choose to keep it or toss it by dropping it from your inventory. You could travel to a town (like the blacksmith in Goron City) and get it repaired...

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

Yeah, but honestly, who throws their weapons anymore? They just use the Master Sword. And when that runs out, i switch to the other master sword I glitched in grab a royal Bow and snipe bokoblin encampments That or just double the durability I mean, an enormous blade of refined metals wielded...

Frankly, I just reroll if I get long throw

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

Technically, by saving before picking up the item you can reroll the modifier when you get one you don’t like by reloading. I mean, castle raids are pretty easy

Or if you could merge weapons and combine their durability, like Minecraft But it’d need some price, like rupees

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

Yeah, I believe that would work well. Of course, the only metal we can have as an item is flint, which isn’t strong enough to make a freakin rusty halbred. However, we don’t know the properties of Luminous Stone, which might be used.

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

If there were a readily available place to buy weapons, like a Traveler’s Sword in the Kakariko Village shop

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

If there were a way to repair weapons, this would be so much easier.

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

Not to mention that a wooden sword has a higher durability than the Royal Claymore

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

The “taking physics to your advantage” kinda becomes ineffective when you reach the point where black bokoblins spawn

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

So it’s fine that the woodcutter’s axe has a higher durability than the Royal claymore?

Breath of the Wild Do you like BotW’s durability mechanic?

Yeah, there are 2 bokoblin camps by the Gerudo Desert’s fairy fountain that give about 5 Knight bows each. Pretty useful, ngl

I personally think that these weapons should last a good while. It shouldn’t take a whole Royal broadsword to take out a gold bokoblin.
